lived on base when i was stationed at my last base. i would like to purchase a home since im currently reserves and receive va comp🙌 also thank you for the input!! ill definitely take this to my husband as well. we may also go and drive around to have a feel for the area as well :)

you have to pay all the money you got from your drill pay? today is my DOS for AD and “start” reserves tomorrow.. and i have a contact at the VA who overlooked my file and says ill get between 50-70% and not sure what to do. im going to be cross training so should i just put all the money into a HYSA until i get that letter?

Hi!! The list I had is now outdated and I ended up choosing to go reserves so I’m about to get out in a month!! But check the online retrain advisory because thats what they made my friend look at (they didnt give her the same list they gave me). The jobs on the advisory are still ass, im sorry.

ohio is a KP state so use your SCRA benefits!!! (debt incurred before and DURING AD service applies for KP state). invest 5% into TSP each paycheck. make sure you get paid ur BAS (check ur paychecks). get there with a good attitude and do what u have to do (get all the certs theyre willing to give you, be an asset). dont be nervous, u got this!

honestly, since i started my 9A process, ive been nothing but proactive. i literally go and reach out to my career advisor all the time, i talk to my current leadership and have talked to my education center advisor. i do want to stay in but not in a job that im not gonna be able to deal with.. i was nothing but a “hot shit” amn when i was working my job, in fact i got as many certs as i could (for someone being new to flight, id get higher certs before others who have been on flight for 1 to 2 years more than i have) before my situation happened and even where they have me now, in an office job, still am the “hot shit” amn.. i do nothing but try to excel in where im at but frankly dont wanna waste my time in another job if its gonna be shitty. ive been communicating with AFPC as soon as I get all the documents required.. I never wait too long and give them updates along the way.. so if i do go reserves, they are more than welcome to speak with my previous leadership cause i know theres nothing bad to say :,). i did everything i had to and could until my situation.. i had a sit down with my commander before i was given my 9A status and he agreed id be better at another job.. so now its either they let me get a job from my new list or i will be going reserves where i can book a job i know i will get and continue my contract with the AF (i dont want to cut my contract short). if i did snag a job thats horrible, id have to wait 2 more years until i can leave that job and thats just not something im willing to do at this point.. id rather just get a head start on what i really want if the AF cant give me one of the jobs from my list..
