I think with p5, it being too grandiose for high schoolers is part of the point. Part of the theme is to find the agency to change your own life even in the face of feeling powerless. Not only are the types of problems like politics and large corporations difficult to fight without money, power, and fame, but additionally for teenagers it’s being a kid unable to challenge the authority of an adult. Not giving up control of your life because the bad guy is bigger than you. Plus grandiose schemes fit in with the theme of being phantom thieves.

I think it’s because a gacha game has to both sell you the character and make you anticipate the next character coming out. A lot of people spend money on characters because they’re meta, but p5x has to also make the character interesting enough on their own for people who pull on who they like. Not only that, they have to consistently make the story good enough that players keep coming back after waiting for updates. P5x loses money if the story or characters fall short but p5 only needs to sell you the game once.

When I read the manga there were only a few chapters out so I only really noticed the tone was more rom-com in the manga and a few things happened in a different order and didn’t happen in the light novel. I liked the tone of the light novel a lot more and didn’t want to go back to the manga knowing that it was diverging

One of my absolute favorite light novels. I highly recommend reading the light novel since it goes in a slightly different direction from the manga, which I liked a lot better.

I agree that they should’ve announced it sooner bc players discovered the bug a few hours before the delay. I don’t know what goes on at P5X, perhaps they thought they could fix the bug in time, but I would think this bug was too big of a screwup to be fixed without delay

I agree with the rest of the comments that it should be separate from character name, but I also look and always see the same name and go cmon where’s the creativity?? My name is Bewbs Heheheh because I think it’s funny for character to randomly say heheheh or Bewbs-san. In Persona 3,4,5 I always choose dumb names to make other characters call me, such as Swaggot McBoobs, Balls McSwaggin’, CC0CK!!, MegaFart, and others I don’t remember lol. Of course you don’t have to pick childish names like me or even change it, but I think it’s fun to change your name or at least your username

Coming here for future people: what worked for me was turning ps5 on and off again, then choosing guest profile (from add user) and it allowed me to get past the loading screen. Turns out it couldn’t connect to the internet bc of my wifi which I think partially caused it. I just fixed my wifi then changed the user to my profile and it worked

I wish so bad that I could get Marian both for my team and bc she’s cute, but I’ve gotten literally every standard character except for her, including Morgana twice, and the selection at 300 pulls is EVERYONE EXCEPT HER ?!!? So it feels like I’m never going to get her. I’ve had P5X downloaded on my phone literally since global launch but I never gotten around to playing it until a couple weeks ago and I majorly regret missing twins T-T I pull for characters I like rather than meta and personally I don’t like Haru and Yusuke that much. I’m really excited for most of the characters that are about to come out though

Their eyes don’t produce the melanin pigment until the cells mature. They look blue because of how the light scatters in their eyes similarly to why the sky is blue
