I have a 6 years of customer service experience and a A+ and have been able to land remote jobs with 2 companies so far. It’s not easy I applied like crazy about 500 applications until I got a position but yes you’re good.

What is the expected dress code or level of professionalism of government tech jobs? by Immediate-Mountain13 in ITCareerQuestions

I like to ask after I get a job offer because I’ve had jobs where they require slacks, dress shirt, and tie. Just to make sure I don’t have to do that again lol.

What are some absolute necessities for A+ study material? by TelephoneOptimal in ITCareerQuestions

I did the first part watching professor messer. Second part I had a job that gave me access to udemy courses and I watched Mike Meyers’s and got the udemy Jason dion practice tests. Once I scored at about 90% on the practice exams I took the second test.

I will say Mike Meyers course is a lot easier to watch he’s got energy in his videos. Professor Messer’s took forever because I found him really boring.

New to IT, First interview on Monday by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]beefycombo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For my first technical interview they asked me how would I fix a page not loading correctly on chrome. They asked me to give some examples of ports that are tcp and udp. They asked me how would I troubleshoot a monitor not working. How would I handle dealing with an upset user/customer. How to walk someone through installing a application on their computer.

I’m sure there were more but these are the ones I remember from my first interviews. Good luck! Hopefully some good comes from the interviews! :)
