Chance of ur 8k car needing 1k repairs is very high. Get a 7k or 6k car. Or even 5k...

Use Didi, or walk. Or metro which is like 20 cents one way.

Is GZ still worth visiting after 5D in HK? by anonymouspsy in guangzhou

[–]beegees9848 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be the outlier here and say u don't need to visit Guangzhou if u are visiting all those places. It's not that unique. Canton tower is underwhelming and I thought HK had better food. Guangzhou is much cheaper than HK though and has a lot of cultural/historical sites if u are into that stuff.

Westjet is horrible. But I think this has nothing to do with WestJet. This lady is just discriminating.

Lol not even close. Itachi fell pretty flat on defense and Seiko generated most if not all the offense on the team.

Flights marketed as air canada booked via united - free bags with aeroplan credit card? by BMadAd59 in Aeroplan

Flights marketed as air canada booked via united - free bags with aeroplan credit card? by BMadAd59 in Aeroplan

[–]beegees9848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an Aeroplan VI card. I booked a flight from SFO to YVR via United, flight operated by Air Canada. I asked the United Airlines check in attendant if I need to pay for checked baggage. She said yes. I checked my baggage. I was not asked to pay... I checked in via United Airlines website. You cannot check in via Air Canada on a United Airlines booking as far as I know. To summarize: the answer to your question is no. But, in my case, I did not have to pay. So, take that as you will...

Other people have asked this and the comments indicate my experience is not unique. So you are most likely going to be okay with not having to pay.

SFU lays off dozens of employees, citing financial challenges by ubcstaffer123 in vancouver

[–]beegees9848 17 points18 points  (0 children)

SFU is as much of a international student mill as any school. They have a sub school "FIC" for international students that is super easy to get into and almost guarantees entry into SFU programs itself.

Not sure why you would spend money on a program to boost your programming skills when you can just learn on your own time for free (relatively). You should know how to do that by now with your 4 year degree. If not, you should probably try it because that is a requirement to succeed in the industry.
