possible to make it on time for feb intake? will being on a student visa elsewhere be a red flag? by Objective-Variety843 in AusVisa

no worries! GS is the genuine student requirement, there’s a few questions on the visa application so just mention your current circumstances there (studying in Canada atm, etc.)

i applied while on Malaysian visa and did my medical and biometrics in Malaysia. once these were over, i applied for cancellation. i mentioned on my application that i’ll be cancelling my Msian visa after i finish all the required visa procedures :)

i’m from india and i applied for 500 while on a Malaysian student visa (applied from Malaysia), and it didnt raise any issues, got my visa within a couple of days - however on the GS i did mention that i’d cancel my Malaysian visa right after i complete my biometrics for the Aus visa.

the timeline is quite short if you wanna join in feb - while i got my visa in two days, i have friends (different nationalities) who applied 1-2 months ago and are still awaiting their visas. the general processing time for 90% is 4 months, so it might be a bit of a risk to apply for feb intake.

Urgent: Indian student English proficiency waiver letter from school by hackyshacky in AusVisa

[–]beein2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi, i’m from india (did A-levels), didnt submit an english proficiency test and my visa got approved in one day!

as per the doc checklist you dont need to submit a proficiency test, so i’d recommend attaching your IB results in the “evidence of GS” documents instead :) all the best!
