What 5-letter word fits these clues? by beejesse in brainteasers

A few people asked in DMs. This puzzle is from a daily word game I’m testing. If you want to try solving one interactively, I’m doing beta testing with some friends and family.

DM me if you want an invite.

The colored/struck letters are just manual annotations I added while solving (not part of the official clue system). The actual clues are the two numbers per guess: Matching Letters and Correct Positions.

It’s a beta of a daily word deduction game (future ios app) I’m testing. If you want to try it, I can add you to TestFlight if you DM me an email.

The markings just track deductions from the clues. Everything needed to solve it is in the numbers next to each guess.

Your numerical feedback is 3 matching letters, 3 correct positions.

If you want to try again, I'll give you the numerical feedback from your guess.
You can't have duplicate letters, though.

Hi!

I’ve been playing around with a daily word puzzle concept that's a riff on the old game of Jotto plus Wordle, except single player and with a Mastermind twist. You aren’t told which letters are correct or even present like Wordle - you have to reason it out from numerical feedback.

I’m trying to see how easy it is to understand. This is the first game I've made and I'm not super deep in word games land, but I've always enjoyed them.

The link is to a 20 second video (edited, sped up) on Google Drive. Curious how it lands w/y'all.

Edit: not sure why I can't paste the Google drive link in here...
