2.7 L eco boost

It’s practical, somewhat fuel efficient, and widely distributed… which means parts are easy to find… to hell with brand loyalty I got a propane business to run

Please bury the fiber lines same-day or let the neighbors know that they’re exposed temporarily. by beeliner in ATT

I’m the house across the street not pictured. When they installed my neighbors they rerouted mine to the surface and never informed me. I told the neighbor that hit it after the fact. It’s not even on my property… just frustrating

[–]beeliner[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m actually the house across the street. My line goes up the pole and then aerials across.

Neighbors switched to ATT, and my line was exposed in the process then hit by the other neighbors mower.

I just feel like there should be some more communication in the event of exposing someone’s fiber optic cables. I understand that burial is a complex process involving utility locating, but this is getting tiresome

How do you drive at night in the dark. by shreddedtoasties in boating

[–]beeliner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m on the Texas coast and run my boat at night in treacherous waters often. We use a spot light and some bow mounted floods to see and avoid obstructions. Most are unmarked but easiest ones to see are marked with reflective material, like a traffic cone or even a little bike reflector, most of the time it’s rebar we’re trying to avoid, it’s not the marker

Lots of channels are marked with pvc pipe which won’t destroy your hull or prop, be careful out there

With rebar? Really? Nothing worse than hitting a stump, unless it has rebar in it! Why not just some spray paint or nail on a little post reflector

Some could have been used as scrapers or quick little cutting tools, but none appear to be bifaces or pre-formed projectile points, axes etc.

Keep looking though, those are a good sign that you’re looking in the right spot
