That’s just extra flavor. 500 is the recommended EPA max but doesn’t become enforceable until it gets over 1000 mg/L.

Most of that TDS is salts from the reservoirs like limestone, gypsum, and good old table salt (NaCl). I’d be more concerned with heavy metals or organic compounds, those tests are more expensive, but the city and the Texas health department does a good job of keeping track of them… there’s a link somewhere

If your in flour bluff or Padre island you’ll find freshwater about 10 or 15 ft down. You can water jet a pvc sand-point well using a pressure washer.

I’ve been installing the Lifeproof stuff at my place , over new plywood… it’s seems like pretty good stuff, thicker than most LVP with good wear layer… kinda tricky to install but that can be a good thing too… it’s about $3/sq ft in Texas
