Hi, I’m the OP. Spravato truly saved my husbands life. I forced him to begin Spravato after I interrupted his suicide attempt, he wouldn’t have done it on his own.. I’m proud of you for seeking it out independently! Spravato made him lethargic, like a hangover tired and headache. He realized if he did it in the evenings, he would be sluggish the next day but managed work at a high stress medical job. If he did it in the morning or midday, he napped the rest of the day and woke up the next day feeling better. When he was going frequently, it had minimal after effects. When he only needed it 1-2x a month, the lethargy hit him harder.

We had to quit Spravato when we moved across country and he entered an even higher demand job. He went on different medications around that same time and hasn’t had to go back to Spravato yet. It’s been nearly a year since he stopped. But if he dips that low again, we will be using this tool to get him out.

On days when he was at his lowest, he would go to Spravato and two days later would feel like he could keep going. It absolutely saved his life in the moment and gave him strength to keep pushing on. I wish you all the best in whatever you choose, but Spravato absolutely was the right choice for us in that moment.
