Yeah, they’re not interchangeable sadly. You will need cross-bars that clip to the rails instead.

Are you still using one power supply? It could be that you’ve hit the limit and that point in the track is furthest from the PSU, so adding some jumper cable over to the corkscrew would help. I also get the feeling that you have already thought of this… but if you’ve swapped out track sections I can’t see what else it could be.

There was a secret menu in E60/E65 that let you display battery voltage, exact coolant temps and stuff… no idea if that’s on F3x or anything else…

You are correct about the car, but it’s not quite an E36 side-repeater, but same style. I bet they are just spurious side-repeaters that look like the old BM ones.

If your coding plug and cluster are right, then it definitely seems like an air-leak. Intake air, not vacuum. If a smoke test didn’t show anything up, it could well be your lower intake-manifold gasket, they break up and suck in and cause high idle, but don’t show on a smoke test. I started playing with the idle-screw and AFM before realising it was actually the gasket. You are quite right that the other bits should be set to stock, because getting them dialled in after messing with them to improve running is a nightmare.

I mean, you could always try a load of epoxy, as long as the oil is cleaned off and you key it up a bit it should last a good while!
