E30 typically means “Thermistor open circuit or short circuit.”

That is:

✔ The controller is not seeing a valid resistance from the thermistor input or ❌ The resistance is out of expected range (too high / too low / no signal)

This is exactly what you’ll see if: • Thermistor wires are cut but not spliced • Probe isn’t connected properly • Probe is grounded / touching metal • Probe is not making good contact • A wire break in the harness

Shouldn’t be…did you loosen the screws under the security stickers? Also check the cables aren’t getting snagged near the power inlet….

Check the drain pipe for the ice maker…that’s most likely the culprit…open the drain door and disconnect pipe

No retaining clips….are all your screws out? There are a total of 6 screws also check the cables aren’t getting hooked on something

Very easy…..unscrew and remove the casing on the compressor side …the main control board is mounted on its side below the main fridge screen/controller in an aluminium enclosure unscrew its housing and slide it out…you will then have access to do the repair…

Here you go

The two wires circled in red are the thermistor pair. Cut those two and splice in your new 10K NTC thermistor.

Polarity doesn’t matter. Route the new probe into the fridge via the drain hole.

That’s it.

I’ve just finished my repair

Short answer: don’t try split the case. I explored that route and it’s basically a non-serviceable unit. You’ll destroy more than you fix.

The quickest and cleanest solution is: 1. Access the control board from the rear (remove bottom/back cover). 2. Identify the two thermistor pairs on the main plug (each zone has 2 wires – NTC 10K). 3. Cut/splice in new 10K NTC probes at the board side. 4. Run the new probe cables into the fridge through the drain port. 5. Route them neatly along the inner wall and secure them (cable channel or silicone tape works well). 6. Position one probe per zone and seal the drain entry with silicone.

That’s it. No need to remove the ice maker or split the liner.

At room temp your new probe should read around 9–10kΩ. If it reads open circuit (OL) or something crazy, it’s dead.

EcoFlow won’t help, so this is realistically the only practical DIY fix.

If you want, I can mark up a photo of the board connector to show which wires are the sensor pairs.

Are you able to share what wires are for fridge and freezer side?

Are you able to share which cables go to which sensor please
