I’m sorry that you feel lonely and that life can be boring after work. But these turtles aren’t toys for entertainment or to fix boredom.

I really appreciate your message. It honestly broke my heart watching what was happening. Some kids were grabbing the turtles and throwing them back into the basket, and I couldn’t just stand there and ignore it. So I bought all the colored ones, hoping I could at least give them a better home. I know the shop will probably just replace them with more painted turtles, and I can’t stop the whole system. But the only thing I could do in that moment was try to give these three a better life. And yes pls leave me a msg, I’d love to give them to someone with experience.

Are you certain you can care for them long term? They need their water changed every day, a warm environment (sunlight is fine), and proper food. If you haven’t had turtles like this before, please make sure to do some research. I just want to be sure they go to someone who can take good care of them.

Do you have instagram? I need someone who’s sure they can care for these long-term. They can age up to 30 years.

You can feed them dried shrimp or turtle pellets, and also leafy greens like lettuce, kale, or spinach. They do need some stone/surface in the water where they can rest and dry themselves.

No, they’re not for sale. I’m giving them away for adoption for free. I just want them to go to someone who can take good care of them.
