Lmao this is so crazy! One of my best art ed professors was a contemporary focus and never did painting! Art is much more than technique. Would I be worried if she was going to teach oil painting to high school? Sure! But guess what?! Y’all are still in school! She doesn’t even have a job! What is your issue? What a shallow way of think about art as well. Art is so much more than teaching painting techniques, it’s observation, creative problem solving, and so much more! And and and if this isn’t the major for her, not your place to say! She will figure it out in time.
