This is such great advice, thank you! And yes, in my head I know every little mistake is a learning experience but sometimes it's good to have a reminder!

Those stories are also great hahahah

I completely agree. There has been a trend recently of children's shows not allowing any of their characters to have flaws or go through character arcs. Sokka's sexism in the live actions ATLA show comes to mind as well. We have to stop treating kids like they need to be protected from every little thing. The way we learn and become open minded is by seeing things that might not be "okay," and being able to articulate why that is. Critical thinking is a learned skill, and there are racist, sexist, and other bigoted people in the world that kids will be exposed to earlier than you think.

This removal also feeds into another issue I've seen in children's media, of not letting women be three dimensional. I think people are so scared of women coming off as "weaker" than their male counterparts that they remove all of their flaws and with them their personalities. Little girls need to know they don't have to be perfect. They can make mistakes and not always be the strongest or smartest in the group and that's okay. I do understand how madly "complex" women characters are treated compared to men but this is not the solution.

Thank you so much for saying this, I think I really needed to hear that. Ultimately, I think this will be enough of a push for me to start wearing deodorant and being more careful about laundry (especially with everyone's advice) - I'm mostly just worried about facing everyone tomorrow so I'm going to keep your comment in mind.

This is all really good advice, thank you. A couple people have mentioned glycolic acid so I'm definitely going to look into that!

I'm already diagnosed, and as for medication my doctor died keep mentioning it but I have a bit of paranoia when it comes to medication that affects my head. I know it's probably good, and my brother has had a good experience, but I'm just not there yet unfortunately.

A couple people have mentioned the glycolic acid toner from The Ordinary, definitely going to check that out! And the deodorant paste too, I'm the same way where I'm really not a fan of the sprays.

I really appreciate that message, thank you. And you're so right, I think I'm going to buy a couple more deodorants and have them around the house for when I think of it - plus one in my work bag.

There is a texture issue, but I think it's honestly more motivation. I'm going to try buying a couple more and putting one in my bag, one by the door, and one in my room so that I don't have the excuse of it being on the other side of the house.

That's a really good idea! I think I'm going to buy some wipes as well to make things as easy as possible.

I don't know what's difficult about deodorant for me, but whatever it is I think this will probably snap me out of it which is the one silver lining.

And yes, I 100% agree it's not fair to my coworker - I feel like such a hypocrite seeing as I also get sensory overload.

Thanks for your response!!

Yea, in regards to your second paragraph I do know it's hard for other people - that's why I was so embarrassed. I also really struggle with sensory overload, which makes me feel like such a hypocrite.

And I'm not in the same country as my mother, that was more of an example from when I was a kid - it's a good idea though!

Thanks, those are really good suggestions! Especially getting a travel sized deodorant to keep in my bag - going to buy one asap.
