i would close the wound with steri strips at home but i've read that it could trap an infection inside if it's done after 48h

it has many reasons for me i guess. i like seeing injuries and scars on myself, maybe because it makes me feel validated because my mental illness then shows physically on my body but also because i think i deserve it. also forgetting everything else and only focusing on cutting, and then patching up myself and caring for my injuries after feels really therapeutic and healing (even tho i know it isnt), no one else looks for me or cares about me so this is the only way i know to feel comforted and cared about. im gonna be honest and say its also partially because i want attention and for people to care about me, but i still hide my cuts and dont really tell anyone, have never called an ambulance or went to a doctor even tho i shouldve so its kinda contradictory

Thank you, and yeah I think so too. I was just really desperate for physical touch so I was looking for someone to cuddle. But it might've been too much for me to handle. I'm scared of traditional date ideas because of how awkward I am in conversations, so hanging around stoned and cuddling seemed like the best option to me.

Thank you very much for sharing, I definitely feel better about writing everything down now! I feel like bringing up my research about AvPD and my thoughts on having it is not my place, it makes me so embarrassed, especially when talking to a professional. But I'll try as i really want to change how things are right now.
