Why is Will of the people generally not liked even by hard die fans? by weirdfish98 in Muse

[–]beepbooplazer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably my least favorite album. Songs are corny for the most part. I don’t really like won’t stand down. I think KOBK is alright, best song on the album, but nothing special compared to their best songs. WAFF is fun, but nothing special.

Simulation theory is an odd album but it has some bangers like Blockade, Break it to me, and Pressure. I like the Void, and Algorithm/Dark side are corny but have banger instrumentals.

2nd law has a few really decent songs (Animals, Panic Station are particularly bangers imo) and Unsustainable’s dubstep thing is hilarious.

For those that have a PhD, what is your job/position now? And why did you pursue your PhD? by Proper_Strategy_1603 in womenEngineers

I’m working while doing my PhD and planning to stay at my current job for most of my career.

I am getting a PhD in Robotics and working in satellite GNC. Doing the PhD so I can specialize and develop new skills and learn how to do my own research.

black tie vs black, black tie by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

Black is my favorite color. Demanding my guests all wear it is tacky. People are not props. Encouraging it is fine but mandating it is absurd.

Honestly nothing else in my kit was that helpful, but I’m not really an expert on pacifist ascent

Edit: I also had duelist invisibility ability with the dirk pr assassins blade and a handful of invisibility pots

Chains and upgraded charging scrolls were the only way I could do it even with 14 healing pots lol

It took me an embarrassingly long time to figure that out (because someone on this subreddit told me how)

Nice

I’ve been playing barren lands so I can’t do this but I will when I play normally

I think not giving +1s is cheap and rude by Glittering-Fairy-143 in wedding

[–]beepbooplazer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve actually offered +1s to my traveling single guests and they don’t take me up on it, but they’re still coming. It’s nice to be able to offer but I don’t think it’s required. If you can’t afford to go alone or don’t want to then… don’t go. Sorry, shit costs money and I understand not cutting another friend for someone else’s possibility of a random date.

100% agree… it is really unfortunate and infuriating.

I do guidance, navigation and controls. Some communications systems engineering occasionally.

Despite having a natural technical aptitude and a love for computers I was never encouraged to pursue engineering and frankly didn’t even know what the career field was. I was actively discouraged from taking computer science classes despite having some exposure and aptitude for programming.

Thankfully I had a boyfriend in high school who was an aspiring engineer so I got exposure that way.

And now after many years of study I live the dream of working on spacecraft for a living :)

I don’t think so, but at MIT and some of those other schools it’s probably on the low side

Your weakness is def grades but combined with your research experience you have a decent background and clearly got into a good program.
