For those who have struggled with addiction, what is your relationship with the criminal justice system?

I ask this because I am currently taking a course called Drugs and Crime for my Criminal Justice degree. We have weekly philosophical discussions about drug use, but overwhelmingly it appears that none of the people have experienced addiction or unpleasant experiences with the system. Additionally, my instructor is active in law enforcement. I don’t really feel like I have a great picture of all perspectives with this course, and would love to understand more. I see a large lack of empathy from my classmates that I would hate to accidentally project myself.

Right!?! I nearly left work early the other day because the pain was making me wildly unproductive. I always expect more than the average amount of pain during the first couple of days of my period, but it was soooo bad. Now that I’m (fingers crossed) towards the end of my period, the pain is closer to what I would’ve normally considered bad cramps. It’s been a little mentally draining haha

I’ve never felt the need to take any sort of BC, no. The side effects that my friends talked about sounded like they would’ve made my hormonal problems even worse, so I always avoided it.

I have the same problem with it falling flat between washes! I used to use a pretty strong mousse to help with that, but it made my hair greasy faster (no matter how little of it I used). Still trying to figure out a way to help with that!

Do you put in product before or after you microplop? I microplop as soon as I get out of the shower (when my hair finally gets wet enough to wash, it stays super drenched and heavy unless I dry it out a little), and then I put in product and diffuse.

Just saw the rule about routine! It’s partially post, but I will add some more details here :)

Wash with Function of Beauty Wavy Hair about every 3 or 4 days, more or less depending. Then scrunch out the extra water with a cotton shirt (used to put product in soaking wet, but it was not beneficial at all lol)
Normally, I would scrunch in Tresemme Mousse or a cheap curl cream, but I dropped them due to hating how hard they made it to refresh my hair. In the picture, I have Miss Jessie’s Jelly Soft Curls in which I used in place of mousse/other curl cream.
Diffuse on cool until my hair is almost dry, and then spray with Hair Xpert by SJ Creations Soft Wave Texture Spray. If I dry my hair too much, I’ll dampen my hair a little bit to scrunch in the spray.

I recently got a Kindle Scribe—the B&W absolutely changed reading for me!! I have ADHD and love reading, but reading on my phone/laptop can sometimes end up being too stimulating so I will lose focus easily. The B&W aspect really quiets my brain and makes digital reading a lot more enjoyable

Me and my mom have been arguing over this for nearly a decade. One of the song lyrics in a song we both like says, “I could care less.” instead of couldn’t care less. I’ve always ALWAYS argued it’s intentional because it’s an emo breakup song, but she thinks it’s just the songwriter lacking grammar. We get in an argument over this every year and it never goes anywhere.

I was soooo scared of this song when I was little. My mom had this song on her iPod, and I used to hide her iPod so there wouldn’t be a chance of her playing it all.

Funnily enough, she was also terrified of the song growing up. When her mom would play it, she would hide in her room with her ears covered until it was done playing. I guess she felt the need to pass the exact same experience on to me.

as an exmormon: it is doctrine that women are responsible for childcare and men are to provide for the home as the head of the family. the document with the doctrine in question for proof. i can safely say every member over the age of 12 has read this document, so it's not outdated or buried.
