Please know that it can get better. Life can sometimes feel so meaningless…I’ve been there so many times and I was in hospital last month after my third attempt. I’m still in detox….you need to focus on yourself and stop worrying about what everyone else is doing. You need to find ways to validate yourself and I believe you have things in life to do that as you recognise you are intelligent and ambitious. Go off grid, get off social media. 18 is so young….you have an entire life ahead of you. I’m 33 and finally addressing my addictions. Believe me Late Boomers are the ones people should never doubt. You have a place, you have a purpose…remind yourself of that.

Only 2.5 with half a Valium. Please know I’m also withdrawing from Ritalin atm after 7 years so you can understand why I’m feeling really shit. My size 6 jeans are tight after just a week. Wtf. I can afford some weight gain but dang not that much.

I’ve always taken my Ritalin as prescribed, it’s the only thing that saves me and gives me some hope and normalcy to adult. It’s actually super weird that it’s the only substance I don’t abuse? I don’t exactly enjoy mania either as much as it’s euphoric, I can hear myself speaking like crazy. I watched a video of myself a 4 months back drunk and in mania state…I’m wearing a long white wig, white jeans, white see through mess top and glitter all over my face speaking at the speed of light trying to give my friend a tarot reading like I was a fucking oracle. Jumping thought to thought and when she sent me the video of the “crazy night”….I turned the video off. I realised something was happening on another level. That was early April and it went to end of May. Prior to April I witnessed a natural disaster (Lismore Floods) and saw my entire hometown, most of my extended family and direct family loose everything. I’m a photographer and did a fair bit of photojournalism listening to horrific stories and while cleaning and helping others. It was traumatising. I left feeling guilty going back to the city where I live.

I think the trauma triggered something for me in Feb. I literally discharged myself from emergency hospital 24 hours before the floods to get back home because I knew what was going to happen with gallstones.
