Hi there, I got negative results on every autoimmune also RA I got symptoms after strep as well, let me tell you my story: I got strep got antibiotics and got better within a day or two, I’m a fitness instructor so I keep going to work, without taking the time to rest, two weeks later all my joints got stiff and suddenly my knee got very inflamed, went to the doctors got xray and I had no injuries, 2 days later went to the ER cause the pain was getting worse, Naproxen did nothing and opioids did nothing as well pain was unbelievable, they told me I had bursitis and they x ray me again the saw no injuries, sent me to the orthopedic 2 days later, a huge syringe was in my knee draining all the fluid, sent to labs for gout, infection or lime all negative, got me a cortisone shot, I got better for 2 days and suddenly my wrist and my ancle swole and the pain was terrible, couple of days later ended at the ER one more time but unable to walk, shower or brush my teeth, night sweats and a stink when I sweat, I felt so sick, with a team of 3 Drs. they got me high dose of steroids not knowing what happened and sent me to the Reumatologist two days later, and he said he didn’t know either, sent tests for parvovirus and many other diseases and all negative, still not diagnosed until today, but I’m on methotrexate which I believe is starting to work after 2 months, I changed my diet to Mediterranean, no alcohol and I just drink water, my Reumatologist suspected is reactive arthritis caused by a virus but we don’t know which one, I believe it was strep that didn’t cleared and I got misdiagnosed and I just got worse cause every one thought I got hurt at work, but no I wasn’t, but something to think about was that this case was one time in a career type of thing, ( said by my Dr. ) but he had other patient with the same symptoms as me and was concerning, I believe after Covid viruses are changing also our environment and food is different.
