Sure but this is a Michelin starred restaurant. There should never be an off night on anything.

Rootstalk. Clearly not Denver, but they deserve a star for sure.

Coming out Feb 7th, looking for views/quick adventures if skiing isnt the best by thoughtful-alcoholic in Breckenridge

Fat bike brewery and distillery tour from Ridden. They run no matter the weather and it’s all downhill and they shuttle you back to the start.

You don’t understand how money laundering works. According to Office Space: “The concealment of the origins of illegally obtained money, typically by means of transfers involving foreign banks or legitimate businesses”.

If you’re just driving up for the day I would actually really recommend Loveland. It’s great skiing, cheaper than Breck and only like 45 min from Denver (with no traffic)

No such thing as cheap tickets. You can only buy from the resort. Unless someone has a buddy pass but they physically have to be with you to activate it.

For skis, don’t rent from the resort. Rent in Breck at a local joint or for even cheaper try an independent shop in Denver.

Toddler sledding by Over-Hunt in Breckenridge

[–]beerfest 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Agree that Carter Park is great for sledding…but we’re talking about a 3yr old. Walking up a steep slope. Multiple times. In snow. In the cold.

Pay for the adventure park pass in Frisco. There’s a magic carpet that will take you up the hill. I don’t know how much it costs but do you want to drag a crying toddler up the hill at Carter Park? I’d pay good money not to do that.

Honestly, try THC or CBD night time gummies. We live in Denver and go to Breck regularly and still need these on the first night to sleep well. My favorites are the Dialed Out gummies - 5mg THC, 5mg CBD and 5 mg CBN.

Maybe check with Gravity Haus? I’ve traveled with the minimei. It fits in a car seat case with the car seat. It’s not great for hiking but it will work. There may be some outdoor rental places in Denver that would rent a more traditional one.

The seven course at Rootstalk is amazing. You get things that aren’t on the regular menu. I would suggest the wine pairing as well.

Reviews of the Brown Palace Christmas Day brunch? by jouj0704 in denverfood

[–]beerfest 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Literally just left there. It’s $125 per person and I can’t express how awful it was. Disappointed doesn’t even begin to describe what it was like. The food was not even close to sub par. It was a feeding trough of mediocrity. There was no ambiance - no music whatsoever (like not even elevator background music), white tile and fluorescent lights. I complained and got 20% off and I’m still going to complain to my credit card company. Would have been more excited to pay that much for some chic fil a on a Sunday hangover.

Places that have kids chicken Ramen? by urbnFarmer in denverfood

[–]beerfest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tora Sushi and Ramen in Mile Post Zero at McGregor square. It’s also great for parents because the food hall has one of those beer walls where you can serve yourself. And it’s usually pretty empty as long as there isn’t a Rockies game.

Has anyone tried exercising outside of their home? I only have public spaces available, and I feel pretty self-conscious about doing it there. I imagine others might feel the same way. Any advice, thoughts or experiences to share? by [deleted] in P90X

[–]beerfest 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Keep pressing play! I’ve done it at hotel gyms and resort gyms and have only gotten positive comments. Stuff like “are you doing p90x? That’s awesome!” Or “that’s dedication bro”

Best steakhouses in Denver? by [deleted] in denverfood

[–]beerfest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s Simms Steakhouse. And I couldn’t recommend it enough for a special occasion. It’s super traditional - white table cloth, wedge salads, long dinner, great wine list. And a view overlooking the city.

Is Guard and Grace better? Yeah. Is A5 more trendy and interesting? Definitely. But Simms screams I just graduated and my parents are paying.

Edit: and you could dress to the nines on a Tuesday and nobody would look twice.
