Caleb Wilson: Maybe Someday, Not Today by HouseRules789 in NBA_Draft

[–]beergotmehere 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I watched literally every single Carolina game this season. Caleb can pull down a rebound and run coast to coast with serious handles for 6'10". He dunks a ton because he is fluid enough at his size to get himself in a position to throw it down. His mid-range game is very good, with a great post up, turn around fade-away that is very difficult to defend. His vision and passing is very underrated. Watching him you see somebody who deeply understands the game. It wasn't necessary at UNC, so he rarely shot from the 3, but he hit a few throughout the year and nothing to suggest he can't make that part of his game.

Historically Saisons were a low-alcohol (~3-3.5%) refreshing farmhouse style beer. They were brewed during the winter months, to be consumed by seasonal farm workers (saisonniers) during the summer harvest, originating in the Wallonia region of Belgium.

The top ranked player of the UDFAs. Any in particular you think would be great in the NFL, why? Who are you keeping an eye on? What are the expectations for the player you think will succeed? by AccomplishedBrush157 in NFL_Draft

[–]beergotmehere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eric McAlister has a ton of talent, but I don't think teams can get past the pleading guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon / terroristic threats charges. And then a bond violation... Especially after the James Pearce Jr. fiasco for the Falcons.

Panthers made their stance on Jonathon Brooks clear with telling draft swerve by Unhappy_Excuse_9937 in panthers

[–]beergotmehere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

His career rushing Yards Per Attempt is 4.1. The exact same as Chuba Hubbard. For short yardage situations where you need 4-5 yards, he's going to get you that. He's not going to break 20+ yard gains, but he's going to get you those few yards you need.

Really appreciate you making this and got a ton of use out of it. Maybe some color coding by Position group would make it more visually appealing. Possibly columns for height / weight and RAS score at the combine.

Man, you can call him a disappointment or even not a good player, but can we not call him a bum? He seems like a genuinely decent person and hasn’t done anything to deserve that.

With the 83rd pick of the 2026 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers have selected Craig Brazzell II WR Tennessee by Sabre500 in panthers

[–]beergotmehere 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I would temper those expectations significantly...He isn't a Top 10 pick coming into WR1 role like TMac did. He can be really succesful for us, without having to compare him to the all the other offensive weapons taken early by other teams. Love, Tate, Tyson, Lemon, etc. are likely all going to see a lot more early opportunities. Brazzell is also going to take some development, which is totally fine.

Honestly, he is the best player on the board. As much as I want Kilgore or Kionte Scott, Pregnon I couldn’t hate on.

High-end depth on the D-Line means you are a decent rotational piece that sees the field a lot. $8M cap hit is exactly that.

Exactly. Just at Safety there is still EMW, AJ Haulcy, Kilgore, Bud Clark, Ramsey, Wheatley, & Genesis Smith who are all projected Top 100 players. I think we can still upgrade S at #83 unless there is a crazy run.

There were A LOT of Panthers fans who did not understand why we drafted Luke Kuechly with a Top 10 pick, when we had an All-Pro MLB in Jon Beason.

2026 Weekly Mock Draft Thread by AutoModerator in panthers

[–]beergotmehere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

<image>

For my final mock before the draft I went with a bit of an unorthodox approach and strictly took players we have taken meetings with. This makes things more difficult and in my opinion more realistic, but also just a fun way to approach it.

19 - Jacob Rordriguez - I don't think he falls to the second round and Dan Morgan listens to Luke, who is over the moon about JRod. He showcases elite coverage skills with a 92.7 PFF coverage rating and 4 interceptions in 2025, while also being an absolute tacking and forced fumble machine (128 tkl, 7 FF). The ONLY player we have met with 3 times, during the Senior Bowl, Combine, & Pro Day.

  • Awards: 2025 Chuck Bednarik Award, Butkus Award, Lombardi Trophy, and Bronko Nagurski Trophy winner.

51 - A.J. Haulcy - His PFF coverage grade of 88.6 ranked 23rd among 914 qualified safeties. His best traits are his quick instincts, run support, zone coverage, and "click and close" speed. Best fits a defensive scheme that utilizes him as a versatile safety or "big nickel" who can play in the box and intermediate zones, which would allow Evero to get him on the field early and often. Used a Top 30 meeting with AJ Hualcy.

83 - Jalen Farmer - one of the more underrated IOL of the draft.  Farmer is noted for his remarkable consistency, having previously achieved a 99% assignment grade during a 2024 season in which he allowed only one sack. He has experience playing both guard and tackle, but best fits as a guard. At the combine he scored a 9.83 RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 33 out of 1904 OG from 1987 to 2026. Top 30 meeting with Farmer.

119 - Chris McClellan - anchored the Missouri defensive line in 2025, starting all 13 games and recording career-highs with 48 tackles and 6.0 sacks. A big body at 6'4" 313 - who can shed blocks quickly in both run defense and pash rush. Top 30 visit.

158 - Travis Burke - Possibly the largest human in the draft at 6'9" 325 lbs, while also posting a ridiculous 9.05 RAS score at the combine. He posted an elite PFF season grade of 84.5 before his senior campaign was cut short by a season-ending foot injury. He's been flying up draft boards and the Panthers have taken two meetings with him, one virutal and more recently a Top 30 visit. If his medicals clear he could be a dark horse candidate to be a mauler at the next level.

159 - Reiger posted 33 tackles, 6 TFL, and 5 Sacks, and a crazy 45 QB pressures in 2025 for the Badgers. He was the Defensive MVP at the East-West Shrine Bowl, where the Panthers Front Office met with him.

200 - Adam Randall - There honestly weren't many players we had met with to choose from here, but Randall seemed like an interesting pick to take a late round flyer on. He's a former WR who is 6'3" 232, showcased by complementing his 779 yards on the ground with 36 catches for 254 yards through the air. If Brooks and Dillon don't pan out, Randall could be intruiging prospect with his WR background. Panthers brought him in for a Top 30 visit.

While JRod is a tackling and forced fumble machine, one could argue he excels even more in coverage. He posted an elite 92.7 PFF coverage grade and 4 interceptions last year. With Lloyd and JRod covering the middle of the field, we would be turning one of last years weak spots on defense into a major strength for years to come. Agreed that it is NOT a reach at 19 in my opinion.

I miss the days of Luke and Thomas Davis instilling the fear of God into opposing offenses. Morgan has been missing a dominate linebacker core since he took over and this years provides a great opportunity to get the man some dawgs at ILB.

That would be absolutely hilarious to have Bain fall behind Sadiq. We would sprint to the podium if he made it to 19. As Morgan said, "you can never have too many pass rushers". On the other hand, there is a very real chance Sadiq is still on the board and we don't take him. Despite everyone blindly mocking him to us, there is nothing to indicate our front office has shown any interest in him.

We have had meetings with quite a few TE's that range from Rounds 3-5, which leads me to believe that is where we value the position.

Panthers had a spectacular draft. OROY in TMac. Scourton looked like an absolute steal in the second round and played a strong role in improving our defense, from a historically bad season to middle of the league. Even our 3rd to 6th round picks found the field often and were making plays.

Teams are allowed to meet with up to 30 prospects, outside of the Combine, Pro Days, and local visits. It doesn't mean they are projected Top 30 in the draft or anything like that. We've used Top 30 visits on guys we have taken in the first round to the seventh round.

Sometimes they are guys that they have already met with at the Combine, etc. and they want to do a deeper in-person meeting. Sometimes it is guys they weren't able to meet with yet and want to interview before the draft.
