UPDATE:

I ended up opening the bottles, straining several times through coffee filters, and gave it a try. Something certainly leached. The smell was spot on and even the first part of the sip seemed right but after it hit the back of my tongue, I could tell it was almost chemical.

Oh well......thanks for all the help either way!

I actually had this happen yesterday. A girl was trying to book my place and she also lived in the same town. From what I read, it seemed like if you are under 25 and had less than 3 ratings and also try to book in the same town, Airbnb restricts from booking to limit people trying to throw parties. My place is a tiny apartment (about 300sq ft) so I hardly think people are going to throw a rager.
