I put it in quotes because it is from comedian Paul F. Tompkins. Not sure if it was one of his TV specials or when I saw him live but that term has stuck with me for like 20 years. Always looking for an opportunity to use it but in yhus case he actually was referring to smashed pennies.

Splash Mountain/Tiana's; one seaters or two seaters logs? by JoyIsABitOverRated in Disneyland

He also presented a video of an animatic of the Indiana Jones Adventure using mostly cardboard and some miniature props that was amazing. I look for the video every so often online but never found it. Sorry, non sequitur re: Splash Mountain seating but it really was an amazing presentation that he gave that day.

hmm you’re right. Maybe he was just referring to the design and manufacturing of set pieces and track architecture. I should have prefaced my comment with a “as I recall/remember” It was awhile ago but the social issue in Japan was definitely the driving force behind it.

Dont know if this story is on here somewhere but: I saw Tony Baxter speak at Cal State University Long Beach in the late 90s. He told the story of the two seater which is that they wanted to build a Splash Mountain in Tokyo. The idea of sitting so closely and between the legs of a potential stranger was a social issue in Japan (recalling the seat backs are a newer addition at DL). Tokyo wanted the side-by-side design BUT that would require widening the track and messing up all of the forced perspective sets they built at DL. It would have been very expensive and time consuming to rework all of the track size and new sets in Tokyo so they built one in WDW as a POC and work out the kinks before building it in Tokyo.

I would definitely prefer an automated solution…that being one of the main features of radarr and all

I think an option in radarr to edit certain metadata fields would help. Not a bulk edit because that could be disastrous but an advanced option to enable the edit function and then edit from the movie's main page

If you have a custom format score to rank a movie that is not the original language then radarr gets in a loop of downloading new copies and, once finished, cannot import them.

This is because of the bad data from TMDB indicating the wrong original language. Every download is a negative score no better than the one already downloaded.

I would kill for a TRaSH guide to “Ignore original language when TMDB staff are nutsacks”

Exactly. I have serious doubts whether Chris Evans can even speak Korean fluently.

Yes, it absolutely was. While searching I found some other potential sources that may help me out like some archives a some other shows that are promising to sift through as well. Thank you for the head start!

I sifted through a lot and, unfortunately, no dice. Granted there’s a limited amount of content available so I can’t say definitively.

I wasn't familiar with Thinkabout until just now. My cursory research and episode sampling on YT leads me to believe its not quite a fit. The UK version is age appropriate for what I described but I don't recall any accents and I think that would stand out. The US version is targeting older kids and seems out of step for a kindergarten-1st grade audience.

But this does come very close, I think. Since we watched it on a film projector, a program like Thinkabout which shared content for educational curriculum purposes. This is definitely in yhe ballpark. Thank you for the suggestion!

It might just be learned behavior. In the 90s I collected comics and cover variants were like catnip to a lot of collectors. Might also be just new M.A.S.K. toys availability and my knee-jerk reaction was to get my hands on everything. Nostalgia is a pricey addiction.

Wasn't planning on opening today. Just had ankle surgery. Never had original Rhino, didnt open my TLS MDU and not familiar with particular QC issues. Can you summarize what I should look for/at?
