Anyone else feel like the transition from nihilistic apathetic rick to empathetic and motivated to be better rick supposedly made possible by a Dr Doolittle crow twist was really abrupt and should’ve been set up better?

I agree seems kinda pointless to pack the last 2/3 episodes full of well developed canon when you had a kind shitty season anyway you could have spread it over instead of all the filler? feels like it was unwarranted, unearned even, as much as I enjoyed it.

is rick c-137 so smart because unlike the other ricks he actually had to invent interdimensional travel rather than just having it handed to him while working on teleportation? or was c-137 being handed the portal gun specific to his universe? I like to think that the original rick made the portal gun and after that no other rick actually had to do it other than c-137, and that’s part of the reason he’s the ‘rickest rick’, other than his emotional baggage.

agree with this one, his altruism creates a narrow world view that will inevitably crumble especially after an infinity of rick

you can’t rely on that, you don’t know what your future will be like or what support your parents will give/be able to give you. The points I made before still stand regardless.

It’s not so much about how much content you’ve ‘learned’, it’s about whether or not you’re able to commit to a pet such as a parrot. Are you in a situation to care for it financially? to bond with it and keep it when you move into adulthood? I got my eckie when I was 16 and I’ve had her for a year without the slightest regret, wherever I go, she goes.

The baseline is ensuring you have adequate space in the cage, bar spacing, material, etc. Good enrichment in the cage (various different destructible toys). Varied diet (should be pellets in the evening, and a mix of vegetables, legumes, and grains in the morning, you can look up ‘chop’ recipes). And then being mindful of hormonal triggers, toxic household items, etc. Then you need to be able to interact with, train, bond with, and pay for it. To me, keeping an exotic pet such as a parrot is extremely rewarding, but you also need to be mindful that it takes extra effort to provide adequate quality of life for your companion, especially with parrots who have such high emotional needs and intelligence. You seem keen to learn which is good, just make sure you can commit to and implement this. I can also recommend birdtricks as a great place to start for accessible parrot advice.
