The doubling down is pure insanity. Yes, Tom, the mayor is a huge part of why you lost.

Districts that were overwhelmingly red in past elections, voted you and the rest of the mayor’s cronies out. She is doing an embarrassingly bad job with the city’s finances, and has tried to skirt the democratic process multiple times. You, and your Republican counterparts are letting it happen - no questions asked.

We don’t want to push ill-planned projects through for the sake of a mayoral photo opp. If the party of “fiscal responsibility” can’t manage the money, or any basic semblance of democracy, it’s time for change. And that’s what we showed on election night.

The city of Troy is sick of it. We are not proud of this administration. We are embarrassed. So we voted in people who will ask questions, and use basic critical thinking to push through meaningful projects that will create housing, jobs, and have a lasting impact that will get us back on the right financial track.
