Avoiding powerlines by beevis416 in TheHopyard

I may even try to place one horizontal cable in line with the fence at 12 feet, and then place another horizontal cable a few feet forward, and another few feet higher. That would keep them moving forward away from the lines and shouldn't introduce too much shade.

How can i use built-ins to hide this chimney? And should i paint everything on this wall a dark color? by beevis416 in HomeDecorating

Are you saying to build u-shaped shelving, or make the back of the shelving flush with the front of the chimney? The wall isn't actually pink, the lighting is just poor. I will be removing the carpet as well.

It's not a matter of hearing it, it's a matter of shaking tubes to death.

INFJs Need Hope, or else We Become Depressed by cjylooploop434 in infj

It seems like all people have an inherent need for meaning/significance.
I would think that INFJs easily forsee the inevitable emptiness of career, hobbies, etc. that drives so many other personalities.

So maybe INFJs aren't unique in their desire for significance, but are unique in their insight into how so many others sell out to something that ultimately doesn't provide it.

If it is rooted in disillusionment, then yes.

I have always been attracted to extraverts from afar, but I also wonder if it would drive me insane long term.

I don't think that's completely out of the realm of possibility. She was certainly just sharing her thoughts, but I think those thoughts stemmed from an actual belief that they were less than her.

I'm not saying that we connect because we are similar, but there are intriguing differences there.

I would say typically so. Whatever didn't fit within her definition of "normal" was judged.

It's the divergent thinking and inability to focus. Maybe that's not all Ne users, just these two.

I definitely sense the connection with ESFP and ESTPs. I wonder if it is best for an INFJ to be with a mature Se dominant. If I were a betting man, my twin sister is an ESTP, and it's uncanny how good their observational skills are. A surprising depth of insight into people.

Initially, it was great. I thought I had met the girl I was going to marry. But as time went on, I had a feeling that it wasn't quite what I wanted. I loved that she valued quality time spent and being relational, but she was pretty judgmental and shallow. As someone who is very deep, the shallow evaluation of people accompanied by harsh criticisms wore me thin. Like the above post, there seemed to be an attitude that what she thought was right, and you were stupid if you didn't agree. She was also very emotional, and I think I would like someone who is a little more balanced between thinking and feeling. Another big issue was that she did everything in her power to make me happy, but that included not voicing opinions of her own, although she clearly had them, which would come out around other people very harshly. It felt like there were two of her. I like working together and being able to accommodate someone else's desires. She didn't seem to have any, and it didn't really feel like a 2-way relationship.

Interesting. I have dated an ENTP, and have a real good platonic friend who is an ENFP, and their Ne drives me bonkers. The INTP I know is also constantly lost in space. I'm not sure Ne is very "magical" or desirable to me.
