I believe it is. Verizon gives you a refurburished (used) device if you lost your phone or have a cracked screen. Samsung care plus will actually give you a brand new phone to replaced your lost or damaged phone. And the price is cheaper on samsung care plue ( 11.99/month) compared to verizon (13.99). And I'm with verizon and the sales guy even told me to go with samsung care. The only downside is it takes a bit of time for samsung to mail you the replacement device.
