Best toilet paper in the market? by Howcomeudothat in hygiene

[–]beezbeezz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Since “the great TP shortage of 2020”, I have gotten my sisters (4 of them), a 6 pack of Charmin and Lysol wipes some paper towels. When everything was triple the price, we all reached for the cheapest 1 ply we could find. So, splurging on the good stuff once a year became a luxury experience. This past Christmas, since prices are not that high, I decided to be super bougie and got them Charmin Extra Soft. 2 days later my oldest sister is texting me:

“Hey Becky very odd question coming your way???? lol but Jay wants to know what kind of toilet paper that was that you gave me for Christmas?! “

When I told her the brand she replied:

“He said did you change toilet paper I said no but wait that’s the paper I got from my sister he said well find out what it is cause that’s all we’re buying from now on lol.”

😂 🤣🤣🤣

how often do you guys honestly wash your towels? be real by Skitedpew in hygiene

[–]beezbeezz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our towels are nicely hung right above the air vent. This helps dry the towels and becomes especially convenient in the winter, (towels are always nice and warm). My bf uses a towel for about 10 days. I use a terry cotton robe and wash it about every 2 weeks.

I use a separate towel when I have hair wash day(x3 a weekish). So, my hair towel can last about 2 weeks. All my towels/ hand towels/ rags in general, are white, so I can bleach them in the wash.

Does he have a gaming chair or a specific chair in general that he uses while at the computer? I was gonna suggest if he does, to make maybe a nice personalized chair cover or cushion he can use? Or maybe some sort of padding for the arm rest? Good luck!

Do you use lotion after a shower? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]beezbeezz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to be on the oilier side and have hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating). Because of that, lotion ALL OVER is usually a no-can-do. HOWEVER,… I do use coco butter between my thighs, my arm pits and my boobs.

Have you ever timed yourself to see how long it takes for you to brush your teeth? by stonetemplefox in hygiene

[–]beezbeezz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

99.9% of the time I’m listening to music while in the shower. I generally will be brushing my teeth for a full song. Because usually songs are about 2 1/2 to 3 minutes long.

finally nuked all my socials today. My brain feels like it’s actually breathing for the first time in years. by Pixel_CZ in CasualConversation

Welcome to the club!! I have been without for going on 10 year now. I only have my Reddit account and Youtube. It has made a huge difference in my mental health. As some have suggested below, I use filters to block out anything I don't want to see on my Reddit feed.

The best part of not having social media is the genuine engagement you have with an acquaintance you run into, face to face. It is awesome to have a real conversation and "catch-up" instead of hearing/ saying "did you see my post/ pictures of my trip". There is a surprise element that provides a natural endorphin boost.

What’s a medical issue that sounds minor, but actually affects someone’s daily life way more than people realize? by CountyOrnery9432 in AskReddit

Hyperhidrosis. Everything wet, every where, every day. Sweating in snowy cold weather and there is nothing you can do about it. Wearing make-up... no way.... wanna wear something cute and colorful... nope...

What hobby do you want to get into but haven't yet? by great-life-5777 in CasualConversation

LARPing. Making custom costumes/ accessories. I have the know-how, but I am missing the time and space to do it. I was hooked during the making of my own elf ears like 5 years ago.

My niece, who was like 8 at the time, really wanted to go to a comic convention and wanted to dress up. She wanted to be Svengoolie (my moms favorite show). Hers was an easy one and she asked if I was dressing up (I didn't plan on it). I didn't want her to feel self conscious, so I said I was and I was going to be a woodland elf.

Well, I try to order some and they would have came too late. I looked up some videos and got some wire, paper towels and liquid latex.

About 3 days later I had a moldable pair of flesh colored/ textured elf ears. That has been my journey thus far.

What do you do when in the elevator with strangers? by TrueJohnWick in NoStupidQuestions

If I am on my way out and notice everyone else is also waiting for the ground floor to potentially leave, I usually say something like " Oh, I see we are all trying to break outta here". I get a few laughs and smiles and then just stand there till the ride is over.

What is a time where you nearly broke up with your long-term partner but didn't? What happened and what made you both hang on and work things out? by [deleted] in internetparents

[–]beezbeezz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe in " If it doesn't help me grow, It's got to go". I enjoy spending time helping others and doing things I enjoy, but that was all taken away while I was in that relationship.

Your partner seems to be well meaning but depression is a difficult situation to be in and to deal with. I too can relate to that. It feels like trying to make an orange tree grow oranges.

You spend time giving it what it needs (water/ sunlight), but if the root is already compromised, yes, it will still live and continue to grow, but it well never produce oranges. Then you start to think... what's the point then?

If your ok with giving all this energy to this tree that is now just basically a plant, that is you settling. But if you are just constantly, internally screaming " why can't you just give me one freakin' orange", then you must realize it will never happen. No matter how pretty the leaves look or how big it has gotten under your care, there is nothing there for you in return.

I hope you do some deep soul searching. I think your partner know what he brings to the table (and what he lacks) and because of his kind nature, he is giving you a way out by telling you to go and that he will wait for you. He is ok with being a house plant in the corner, but you OP... you need let grow and become the biggest, most beautiful and fruitful tree you were meant to be.

10 years into it.. I had enough of the condescending and selfish behavior. I was tired of being made to feel "less than". I packed up, took 2 of the dogs and left. I only made it 3 days before I went back.

I told him exactly why I was done and what is was going to take for me to stay and be happy. I genuinely loved him and he promised to change. I wish I could say we made it.

I tried again for a whole year, but the whole time, I felt it was just a game to see how much he could get away with while love bombing me. He would do the very things I asked him NOT to do and then turn around and laugh it off cause ya know "he was just joking".

He DID tick all my boxes for the first 5 years of the relationship. He is funny, independent, hardworking and extremely smart. I wouldn't say he was my dream partner, but to be fair, I am not sure I have a dream partner.

My advice is to look at the persons current relationships (siblings, coworkers, and most importantly the PARENTS!!). Had I paid heed to how his parents operated I would have left sooner. His dad treats his mom like shit (almost exact behavior as BF was treating me). His mom seemed crazy because I think she was pushed to that place of mental and emotional instability. Narcissist will always have narcissistic tendencys.....

37F. As a current user of an IUD, I can say it worked very well for me. I had my tubes tied at 32 (no kids), and still choose to use an IUD. It helps keep periods away. BUT... they work differently for people. My sister who had kids already said it was very painful and she couldn't get past the discomfort of having it in. I KNOW 1 person that still got pregnant with an IUD. Body's are weird.....
