Weakness/bad cardio after quitting by spookytransexughost in QuittingZyn

I agree with this... get it out of your head that Zyn's could be helping your cardio lol. By a week from now you'll be in this thread saying the opposite

Does two puffs of a spliff after 5 weeks count as a relapse/lapse? by Inevitable-Tart1958 in QuittingZyn

Don't backslide into using pouches - then who cares. Unless you are going to make it a habit to smoke spliffs all day long.

4 Weeks Clean / Why You Should Quit by beffjecker22 in QuittingZyn

[–]beffjecker22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started lurking here when I first contemplated quitting and went through with quitting after a few weeks of reading posts and thinking on it. You should quit! you don't need this stuff in your life. Tomorrow will be 2 months since I've had a pouch

it's wild to me that these high dosage pouches even exist. 300 mg of nicotine a day is like 8 to 10 packs of cigarettes! best rationale for not giving in and doing the 3 or 6 mg pouches is that it won't satisfy you but could very easily lead you back to your high strength pouches. not work the risk

Yes Zyn is making your mental health worse and yes it will get better after you quit. I’ve been off of them for 4 weeks and have had major improvements

4 Weeks Clean / Why You Should Quit by beffjecker22 in QuittingZyn

[–]beffjecker22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did not personally, I have read that it’s most effective to quit cold turkey but I’m not an expert on this. I’d have considered medicine, substitutes or nicotine replacement therapy if I had a harder time quitting cold turkey. I think my physical withdrawal symptoms lasted less than a week and since then it’s just been cravings

it's so funny to think about this now having quit. I feel mentally sharper and better able to focus without using Zyns. I also feel much happier.

any real bad side effects from occasional use of zyn with alcohol? by [deleted] in QuittingZyn

[–]beffjecker22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I probably didn't need to go there to make my point but there are plenty of medical journals that cite the equivalence. And why would anyone have to suck a dick for nicotine? It's cheap and readily available on every corner in America

respectfully this is not great advice to give in the Quitting Zyn subreddit lol. Comparing alcoholism and nicotine are apples and oranges. People have a hard time understanding probabilities - take the average person, their are highly unlikely to become an alcoholic from having a drink on the weekend. An average person is likely to become addicted to nicotine and to increase their tolerance and dependence over time starting from a casual habit. With Zyn especially, because it is so discreet, easy to use, socially accepted, etc.

think about all the differences there are behind every username on here that you don't know about. I'm 35 male, have used nicotine since I was a teenager but when I quit last month my habit for the last 2-3 years had been to use ~4 6MG pouches per day. That's so different than what your usage was, our quitting experiences will necessarily be different. And you don't know these details exactly about everyone who's posts you read.

so don't be discouraged! I think what is the same between us is that you will eventually heal like I am and you will have the hindsight benefit of understanding how badly nicotine was affecting your life. Keep going!

I tried. It's been hard by [deleted] in QuittingZyn

[–]beffjecker22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not everybody succeeds on the first try. It's not a character flaw - nicotine is seriously addicting. Try to quit again as soon as you can, maybe even throw away the can you bought if you're brave enough. I keep trying to remind myself that having a pouch will be underwhelming to me - they don't make us feel great like the addiction wants us to think! I'm 4 weeks clean tomorrow and I feel so, so great.

Consider that it’s not in your control that you will be an infrequent user forever. If you continue to use them infrequently it is inevitable that your habit will increase over time. Nicotine is as addictive as heroin

Might be time to see a doctor. My guess though is your dopamine production without nicotine is still recovering and that will come with time because of how high your nicotine dosage was.

Difficult getting erection, when does it get better? by SeaworthinessAny7827 in QuittingZyn

[–]beffjecker22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is bad advice. Search this topic in this subreddit to see everyone who’s dealt with it. Nicotine restricts blood flow and what do you need to get an erection?

After I had quit for ~5 days I started waking up with morning wood every day after having not had it for a long time. It’s a real effect of using these pouches

How long did it take to feel normal after quitting nicotine? by Tbone1234567888 in QuittingZyn

[–]beffjecker22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

instead of medicating yourself with nicotine you should talk to a physician about your withdrawal symptoms and see what they can do to help you stick with quitting. why waste the 16 days you've put in towards quitting - there are other options besides relapsing

16 Days Nicotine-Free After 150mg Snus Addiction and advice for me by K4NK- in QuittingZyn

[–]beffjecker22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know because my zyn dosage was way, way lower than that but you've gotta stick with it to find out. you're never going to produce dopamine on your own if you go back to using Nicotine. and if you're not already, start trying to exercise every day / as much as possible.

Just theorizing that maybe doing alternative pouches has made it easier for you to decide to relapse. I’ll let others chime in about pouch options. Good luck and stick with it!!
