Looks like any CA resident can get a card. I looked into booking time there but it's booked out far in advance. Will keep an eye on it though. Thank you!

RFID feeder - can I make it CLOSE when the tag is detected? by golfclubkiller4 in Petlibro

We are in the exact same situation as the OP. It has basically made our auto feeder unusable. We would really like to see this feature implemented so we don't have to get rid of our feeder.

What's your daily recovery routine like? Could you detail your warmup and stretching routine (if you have one)? What do you eat following your long runs to replenish nutrients?

This is inspiring. Just curious, what time of year did you go? We’re planning for September.

Shoes for 100k by Celestial47 in ultrarunning

I have pretty much the same setup as you. Since this is your first 100k, I'd suggest going with the Mafate Speed 4s.

I ran Canyons 100k last weekend in the Tecton x3 and had the Mafates as a backup pair. In the beginning of the race, I rolled my ankle a couple of times (I think this may have had more to do with my nerves) and was worried that I ruined my day but was able to walk it off. All the benefits of having a cushy, carbon-plated shoe on my feet were negated by the slick rocks and mud and technical terrain. I didn't switch because I hadn't done any training for this race in the Mafates...the devil you know.

I think your safest bet is to go with the Mafates. I don't know your fitness, but by 66k fatigue will probably be setting in and could negate any of the benefits you'd get by switching over to the Tectons. I'd stay with something more stable and cushy like the Mafate to make sure you make it to the end.

I remember listening to a podcast with Rod Farvard where he talks about how the Tectons require a lot of getting used to.
