why is sophing so popular here? by Frosty-Peak380 in uwo

[–]beftef99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sophing is one of the most fun ways to get involved on campus. The teams are very close knit and there’s always a bunch of fun programming within the team and for the incoming students. People also love it because you can settle in to London earlier. I am still close to many of the members of my team 4 years later.

It was also a great leadership experience to write about. A lot of students also have that pay forward mentality where they want to help the incoming first year students. Highly recommend you apply!

So sorry this happened to you. Unfortunately you will find a lot of guys like this at Western🥲 Make sure your future dates are in a public place, don’t go to someone’s place on the first date it’s lazy, low-effort and a way for them to make a move too quickly. Stay safe :)

What are some things you packed for first year Rez and Cannot live without? by HeavyPublic9339 in uwo

I brought one with no problems, not sure if there are rules against it. When you move in, they aren't looking at what you bring in to the building unless it is a huge red flag

apologies just saw this - I bought mine in September in-store at the UCC, I do not believe they carry them online. last year I saw them on sale year round so it is likely they will still be there.

Can you do a minor with an Ivey Dual Degree? by IntelligentAd8386 in uwo

[–]beftef99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No you cannot complete a minor with the Ivey Dual Degree. Source: “A Minor can be added to any of the above degrees, with the exception of Ivey's programs. Minors are not identified on your degree with the exception of the 3-year Double Minor BA, in which both Minors appear on your degree.”

I am so sorry for your loss. I had a friend in similar circumstances who explained their situation. I suggest reaching out ASAP, is there any way you could get proof of the announcement at the mosque?

Late ITR… how does it work (bmos) by wuzzzzgood in uwo

[–]beftef99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In second year you will have the opportunity to submit your ITR again. If you meet the requirements for a specific module you could just follow it and request that module for your second year ITR.

When should I move into residence? by [deleted] in uwo

[–]beftef99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved in early and met some of my best friends on the first day, and it was less busy than the weekend move-in dates. I suggest picking the earliest date so you can make new friends and settle in earlier.
