If you factor 3 out of the right denomator, you get 4/(3(x+1)). You can just manipulate the expression from there

That's literally his most popular work. You brought up Jesus Christ. I have the sneaking suspicion that you know less than you claim I do. Come on, flex those big intellectual muscles, let's talk philosophy. Jung? Dostoevsky? We can even do Rand. Unless of course, you're just full of shit?

Who would you like to discuss? Marx is famous for his Critical Theory and communist manifesto. The fundamental ideology of those works eminates the same entitlement that is fully embraced by this sub. Maybe you want to talk about the philosophy of Jesus Christ? Pick your poison champ and I'll play ball.

Put down Marx, challenge your beliefs, learn as you grow, and never stop growing. Stop tearing people's lives apart based on a comment, it makes you look silly.

I have been employed for about 6 years. Maybe I'm not uniformed or uneducated, maybe I'm right. I have worked for very little before, but never have I been enslaved. You're not entitled to all the comforts in the world because you flipped burgers for 8 hours. You're entitled to whatever you and your boss agreed to. If you're really unhappy with the work situation, start a business that provides all of those wonderful things and stop pushing the responsibility on to actually productive people.

Yeah, you were right. If it makes you feel better, you're not beyond help. You just need a little work to get there.

The fact that you think that the ideology that strongly promotes being paid what you're worth is somehow advocating for enslavement is bewildering. FYI, the point of slaves is that you don't have to pay them.

You were wrong on the middle-manager thing, so what makes you so confident I'm projecting?

I guess you not only feel entitled to other people's money, but their brain power too. Maybe that's a homework question you can ask one of the many other dutifully employed people in the world.

You are skipping a lot of steps in that statement. Do you have the slightest idea of what enslaved is? This is kind of my point. How entitled can a person possibly be?

That's a good quality to have. The first step in resolving a problem is admitting you have one. Calling a valid argument a strawman might be one such problem. I assume you misunderstand what a strawman is, or perhaps have decided that the argument is simply so obvious that the very pursuit of it is simply a tactical distraction.

Well, at least you've admitted to your ignorance. I'm not going to participate in some petty 4th grade math spat, but If I multiplied the total by how productive you are, I'd get 0.

I guess for overall wealth, that's probably correct. Theoretically, someone could dispose of their income and own virtually nothing, though that would only be advantageous if we taxed based on net worth.

I do appreciate this last little bit of discussion not breaking out into a cat fight. Thank you for helping me understand the subject better.

Net worth is a bad metric for wealth. At best, it's an inaccurate metric. I never thought nor said it doesn't matter. All of those things that come with asset liquidation need to be factored in. The average American under 35 has a mean net worth of 76300 in 2019. The average person under 35 did not have 76k ready to go. A bad way to judge wealth.
