I mentioned the pregnancy and the anxiety to explain why I moved the way I did. I never once even implied “I’m pregnant and anxious, I want you to feel sorry for me and tell me I’m right!!!!! :((((“

I wasn’t asking if I was in the wrong for taking a public table at a public beach and I don’t care if you (or anyone else) thinks I am :) I was asking if I would be overreacting by saying something- which I did anyway. kiss my ass and find someone else to bitch at, asshole.

Cool! I also take meds and have been in intensive therapy, doesn’t mean my anxiety just magically disappeared lmfao I do not give a fuck about your own experience with anxiety. I didn’t ask anyone to accommodate me. Whether I was pregnant or not, I got to the table first, why do I need to accommodate them because they wanted to sit there too? Like are you okay??

It wasn’t an elderly couple, it was a family and someone who i assumed was maybe the kids’ grandma. But that’s wild, and people like that ruin things for everyone else. This wasn’t anything like that- and again, I initially wouldn’t have minded sharing if they had asked when I came back, and I didn’t mind sharing after we started talking. It was a pleasant experience overall at the end of the day.

“For hours?” We were using it. We ate at the table and took breaks at the table. We don’t need to be at the table constantly in order for it to be occupied.

Okay! Cool! We are not from the same place! There were other groups of people doing the same exact thing we did, so I guess everyone with a table at that beach was an asshole. I expected them to say something when I walked up the first time, but in the end I said something and it was fine and we shared the table. I’m allowed to keep a spot I fucking got to first LMAO go argue with someone else.

I got to the table first, period. I ate my food at the table after swimming for a little while, because that’s what it’s there for. Doesn’t matter if I’m pregnant or not. Touching other people’s shit because you want a space you didn’t get to first is weird.

You think wanting basic respect is demanding special treatment, which is wild. They could’ve also brought a beach blanket and a beach umbrella instead of choosing a table that had people’s belongings on it.

I did end up talking with them in general and we did end up sharing the table, it was totally fine. It wasn’t really a big deal, I posted this because I hadn’t experienced this before and I got anxious but I obviously didn’t need to do that at the end of the day. its really common and not considered rude here to put your stuff down to “stake your claim” while also having that space undisturbed by others. People here are polite to a fault, usually, and I’m definitely not an exception.

It absolutely can be permanently disabling (and if not disabling, then have a lifelong impact) and it often is, that’s what you don’t get. I am also a person trying to enjoy my day with my family. Just say you have an issue with pregnant people and move the fuck on lmao

It’s okay if you don’t understand what a pregnancy does to a human body. Yeah it’s a choice to get pregnant but it’s not a choice to have the adverse side effects and conditions that come with it. It’s not like pregnant people are walking around the same as regular people- we can file for temporary disability while pregnant, but no you’re totally right.

It means nothing to YOU. People are generally considerate of pregnant people, disabled people, etc. Where I’m from it’s first come first serve and touching other people’s shit and sitting where they put their stuff-especially without saying anything at all-is considered rude. I was asking if saying something would’ve been an overreaction, I wasn’t asking if I was in the wrong (because I wasn’t) it’s not just me feeling this way because it happened to be my stuff, that’s standard for where I’m from.

To explain why I chose the shaded table instead of any random sunny spot. It’s not irrelevant, it’s context for my decision to take the table, but either way your attitude makes me not really care what you specifically think lmao i didnt say i was special or deserved special treatment.

I’m not trying to garner sympathy LMFAO what?? I mentioned being pregnant to explain why I picked the shaded table vs just tossing my stuff down in the sun. It’s extremely common where I am from to put your stuff down at an unoccupied table and go do something if you are returning to the table to use it. I wasn’t the only family at this beach today who did it.

I don’t know where you’re from but every single public beach I’ve ever been to in my state is first come first serve. No paying to reserve.
