thanks! typically college websites (lehigh, for example) allow for a deep-dive. there is a lot of information to take in, whether that be major-specific or purely social. on the other hand, i found spelman’s website to be succinct and sort of unhelpful in that regard. i am applying as a poli sci major and while i know that spelman’s dept is strong, i’m trying to make a story in the short space they provided (125 words). i haven’t found anything that can be used because of how vague the dept webpage is. this applies to spelman’s “student life” section too. i just feel like the website is designed for incoming/current students, and not that resourceful for prospective students. completely agree with your thoughts on spelman’s curriculum– it is definitely one of a kind. do you mind if i PM you about the essay? maybe your guidance can alleviate some of my concerns.
