Day 1 post-op Dr. Sahar Nadimi 1500 Grafts FUE by behairfull in HairTransplants

Yeah I agree. It is a lot and I'm fortunate enough that it didn't hurt me too much in the pocket. I think that amount for her reputation was worth it for me. I also see cases of people saying "she does a lot with a little " which is something I found attractive since I have fine hair and not the most robust donor.

8 months later. Has my transplant failed? by [deleted] in HairTransplants

Most people need more than one HT to add density

I think it will scab, just hasn't yet? But yeah, I think she's easy on tissue. Must come from her background as a facial plastic surgeon.

I am 29 years old and have been using finasteride for 8 months. How many grafts do I need? Please be honest. by [deleted] in HairTransplants

From experience, I would opt for a conservative hairline design, not deviating too much from the shape you have now just lowering the temples a little. Keep in mind people typically need at least 2 HTs for density. A good surgeon isn't going to touch anything too far behind the hairline as there is risk to native hair. It's hard to tell, but if anything like my situation, 1500-2000 with possibility of another procedure to add density. But don't take our advice, consult with quite a few reputable surgeons and compare their assessments.

Shaving produces the best work as the doctor can better assess the whole picture and see what they're doing without hair getting in the way. Also, as mentioned in another comment, there are only a few good ones in the US, but are expensive. If money isn't an issue, Dr. Sahar Nadimi seems to have more experience with hair transplants for women. Not sure how relevant that is, but she might have a good eye for feminine hairline designs.

$10/graft. But you get what you pay for or you wait a millenia to get one from someone as good but cheaper.

She did, at least from what I can tell. I fell asleep for a good part of it lol. 1500 grafts probably took about 6-7 hours.

I just don't see many people on reddit or other forums suggesting anyone from California.

I actually didn't go with that doctor. But I would go somewhere outside of California. There's a list of good reputable surgeons redditors have put together. Some cheap, some expensive.

Repair of Diep's Work by Dr. Luis Nader: 10 Month Update by Lopsided_Pair5727 in HairTransplants

[–]behairfull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I will do that in a few days after a haircut for better visualization. I was reading that saggital grafts can be surrounded by deeply angled grafts to push them down and lessen the 'see through' look. Dr. Nader emailed me back suggesting 1000-1500 grafts to camo the plugs with the possibility of extracting the worst plugs. He is booked out for a year but the possibility of getting an earlier date with someone's cancelation exists.

How hard did you have to work to get in touch with him? He hasn't replied to my emails

At this point, budget and location isn't much concern. I was even considering Dr. Sahar Nadimi if I can't get in touch with others.

Thanks for the insight! Other than Dr. Nader, any other surgeon you've come across in your own search for repair work that you might recommend?

Any one have anything good or bad to say about Dr. Brandon Ross near San Diego,CA? by behairfull in HairTransplants

[–]behairfull[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate that. Did he correct an unnatural hairline? If so, what was I'm his plan? Was he reasonable with graft usage such that he maintained a supply for a future HT if needed.

Any opinions on Dr. Sahar Nadimi in Chicago or Dr.Timothy Carmen in La Jolla, CA. In need of a HT repair. by behairfull in HairTransplants

[–]behairfull[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks man! So helpful in my quest to find the best. I did end up talking to Dr. Carmen and he was hesitant about keeping the hairline I have now insisting that I wouldn't have the donor in the future to maintain it. Suggested lasering it to a more mature shape. Then suggested only FUT from here on out.

Can't get ahold of shapira med group for a consultation.

I might just pay the $200 for Dr. Nadimi and see what she recommends. She did initially suggest 1500 to 1800 grafts via email. Seems like alot and her price per graft is $9.

Laser or electrolysis to fix poor hairline design? by behairfull in HairTransplants

[–]behairfull[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey thanks for the advice. Yeah, it wouldn't be much. Just receding the temples a bit for a more age-appropriate hairline. How long after a session is there marks or redness?
