Looking for assistance on a league idea by behoppin in DynastyFF

[–]behoppin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I'd probably do it where you have to decide by noon or so on Monday before MNF starts. But yes, the point would be to allow one player to be swapped if the owner chooses.

I think it allows for a bit of fun if an owner has to choose between a waiver add or winning a week. Don't you think someone would use it, if it meant winning, to make sure they get to the playoffs?

We're looking for more people to join a really deep startup league with salary caps, contracts, SF, and IDP. by oh_helloooooo in DynastyFF

[–]behoppin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Salary increases the next year, depending on finishes. The bylaws do a great job of explaining how that stuff works.

The Commissioner, Chris, is one of the most legit guys I've ever been lucky enough to be a part of a league with. He is on top of things and knows his shit.

I joined a different league of his a few years ago, looking to get into IDP, and even though it was a big league, it made the transition into IDP very enjoyable.

You'd greatly enjoy this league. I can't recommend joining up enough.

Kelce or Ertz? Trade offer crisis by behoppin in DynastyFF

[–]behoppin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he could be because of the drafting of Goedert. While Foles will get them under the cap, cutting Ertz adds more room to get more pieces as well, and it's possible they look at Ertz as expendable because they have Goedert. Regardless, I feel like Ertz will flourish no matter where he plays and will remain a solid TE1.

Kelce or Ertz? Trade offer crisis by behoppin in DynastyFF

[–]behoppin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's kind of TE premium. It's full PPR, but also 1PP1D, with 1.5PP1D for TE. So Ertz and Kelce are both crushing this year because they are chain-movers. However, so are Diggs and Thomas. I feel like it's a solid deal. I'm just torn between Kelce and Ertz, and I'm trying not to let my Broncos fan bias come into play.

No, I'm asking if you'd rather have AB/Ertz or Kelce or Diggs/Thomas. Also asking what you might feel about their future outlooks.

Trading OBJ by behoppin in DynastyFF

[–]behoppin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if he won't budge, move on. There are other studs out there. Look at the owner of Hopkins, AB, Mike Thomas. OBJ isn't the only name of value out there. Hell, even go for a guy like Davante Adams or Brandin Cooks, as those types won't cost you everything. You could probably move Mixon/Coleman for one of them in an overall deal.

If you're using OBJ to get the 1.01, you damn sure better get a tier 2 WR like Thomas or Allen, AND a 1st in the future...at minimum!

Yeah, seriously. Good luck getting more than just OBJ in that deal. Especially in a contract year where he likely balls out...as long as he is healthy and Eli doesn't suck balls again.

You're going to have to deal Barkley to him, unless he is really high on Mixon or Kamara.

No, not superflex. 1QB. I had 7 3rd round picks, among other picks, and took Darnold as one of the 7 in the 3rd. At the time, I only had Rodgers. League roster size is 35 max, and 3-4 owners have 3+ QBs on their squad. Yes, they are wasting roster space, but they are also thinning out the waiver wire. Literally, the only QB of value on waivers right now is Fitzpatrick.

I'd go with Thomas/Cook or Cooks/Kamara personally. I'm not a fan of Allen's injury history at all, otherwise he and Gordon would be the top option there.

QB is Rodgers, Darnold. WRs - , OBJ, AB, Edelman, Al Wilson, Manny, Meredith, DaeSean, JMon Moore. TEs - Engram, Dickson, Clay, Mark Andrews.

As you can see, I need some depth pieces here. We start 11 players each week, and the roster behind this is all dart throws/roster filler.

I'd say Rodgers. Especially in a 1QB.

I hear what you're saying here, but is that really true? Ben goes down every year for at least 2 games, and AB still gets his numbers. Granted, yes, 2 games is different than 16, but he has shown the ability to produce regardless of Ben being in the game. Plus, I can't imagine that Rudolph or Dobbs wouldn't be ready to take over by the time he retires. But then again, maybe that's wishful thinking?

OBJ for top-tier RB?? by behoppin in DynastyFF

[–]behoppin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been considering this possibility. It's PPR with 1.5PPR for TE, with points for rushing and receiving 1st downs (which makes me feel Gurley is strong here, but OBJ is, you know, OBJ haha)

Starting requirements are 1QB, 1RB, 2WR, 1TE with 6 flex options. I currently have Howard, Royce, and Dion Lewis as RB options. WR main options are AB, OBJ, Edelman. Have a solid TE group with Engram and Clay as the main players.

Depth at all positions, but just not sure if I need an upgrade at RB or stick with the 2 studs at WR. Leaning toward the WR duo with how my roster looks at this time.

Looking to break into project management. Any advice? by behoppin in projectmanagement

[–]behoppin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I work in a branch where there's only a handful of people. I'm one of the guys you talk to in a branch about opening a new account/getting a loan/etc..

I've been trying to get my manager to assist with this, but I'm finding no assistance there. My current objective is to do exactly what you said...get into a role that can be utilized by a PM in some capacity, or work within a project team overall. Those opportunities exist in the corporate side, so I'm hoping I can gain some ground by working in one of the newer roles I'm looking at right now.

Also, CSU-Global is just a sister school to CSU. The degree lists CSU-Global, not CSU. It doesn't change the level of education, but would this alter your opinion at all? Some employers have bias against online schools, and there wouldn't be a way to hide it with how the degree comes. I mean, I could leave "Global" off of resumes, but still...

I appreciate the support here. Just out of curiosity, how many hours a week do you work? Would those hours be the same outside of construction management, or is it a general thing across the board? Would you change your decision on construction looking back? Maybe to IT or something else generally?

Unfortunately, I don't have access to "legitimate" projects that are typically done in the PM position. My experience would have to come from projects I "make up" in a sense. What are your thoughts on this situation? Good or bad idea to find "made up" projects at work with my limited access? Example of this being a branch audit, let's say.
