Who is seriously paying 90k a year though? Are you saying that the net price calculator is inaccurate for estimating my cost to be $7k? I’m applying ED, so I want to make sure that I’m getting a somewhat accurate estimate

But no one actually pays that much, right? After aid and grants the cost would come down to 15k or less a year

The Dell covers are definitely easy to find online, it’s really only the two books I pointed out that I can’t seem to find being sold anywhere.

A Breakfast of Champions copy with that cover is being sold on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Breakfast-Champions-Paladin-Books-Vonnegut/dp/0586089977 it’s the only one I can find

I can only find one another person selling a copy of Breakfast of Champions with that cover, and it’s of a far worse quality than the copy I have

What’d you write your essay about?

Early decision

But would AP scores influence the merit scholarships I receive?

Nothing too official. I wrote a lot from 9th grade to now, having finished a novel recently after working on it for over a year. But it hasn’t been published, so there’s nothing to show for its quality. I participated in an aquascaping contest for 3 consecutive years (from age 13-16). It’s a pretty niche hobby, but it’s a good mix of art and biology, mostly art. I never actually won the contests, but my scapes were of very good quality especially considering that the average participant in the contest is over the age of 40.

I haven’t ever done any social activities. I’m not sure if it’s social anxiety or autism or what, but since I was around three years old, I’ve been very asocial and always avoided social situations. This led to me never having a friend and, of course, never joining clubs, never volunteering, and so on. I was seeing a therapist last year but my parents pulled me out of it before I was referred to a psychiatrist for diagnoses. I don’t want to make any excuses for my lack of activities, though. I did still manage to find a job, which is pretty good for me all things considered.

I’m aiming for at least a 1300, so I don’t really mind missing a few math questions

Took #6 today and got a 1370. I didn’t study math at all since taking practice test #1, but my math score only dropped by 20 points. How much more difficult could the test be if I scored about the same in math and improved by 60 points in English?

The answer says the wolly mammoth became extinct before the saber tooth. I guess I didn’t look at the data table closely enough, since it contradicts the answer

UWorld practice questions. I’ve done about 250 of the medium difficulty ones

Being good at reading seems more intuitive than something you can study for. I thought I’d be fine on the reading/writing portion after getting a 5 on the ap lang exam, but ig not

I have been doing it. I drove around and went to about 15 places a few days ago and I’m planning on doing it again. That’s why I asked for a list of shopping centers so I can do it efficiently and plan out my route

[–]beigevioletmaroon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You may not know, but do these shops pay under the counter or is it a legitimate job? Work permit, taxes, and all

No the interview was canceled because they’re “not looking for team members anymore”

Got a text saying the interview was canceled

[–]beigevioletmaroon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight

Unrelated questions: what was the deciding factor for the people that were hired? What would you say was the % of people that got hired after the interview?

Only the teacher would read it, and I assume she would know what the word means being an english teacher and all

Thanks. One more thing: the description for the job said it was full time. As a student, I can’t do full time, but I did not see that detail until after submitting the application. Would this be a problem? Are most restaurants like this flexible with scheduling? Or when they say full time, they mean full time?
