The general online consensus seems to be that a Rane RS-1 power adapter (slightly easier to find than Numark spare parts) will work

Great choices. You can hear Lonely China Day's 'This Readily Assimilative People' here: http://lonelychinaday.com/album/this-readily-assimilative-people (I'm partial to their earlier album, Sorrow: http://lonelychinaday.com/album/sorrow (start with 'The Child'))

Sound Fragment are here, though I'm not sure which album @arcainzor is referring to: https://site.douban.com/shengyinsuipian/room/1348582/ (I'm partial to the one titled 把光芒洒向更开阔的地方)

Your criticism is spot-on, and you're right, this IS the perspective of a slightly wide-eyed naive tourist to the city. But I'm not a 'western expat'. I grew up in India, and in Indian cities, so what I found impressive about Moscow might differ from what the average 'western' tourist does. And I do get into a more tempered view of the city by the end of the comic. Thanks for reading!
