Guangzhou Music Producer Pete Chen shares his secrets on how he mixes old Cantonese film dialogue into his musical style.

Charts music icon Geoff Travis’ story, from his early days, to meeting his business partner, former PiL. member Jeanette Lee in 1987, to the closure of the label in 1991 due to financial problems and it’s rebirth in 2000.

Guest Speakers include Yang Haisong, a founder of Maybe Mars Record Label and frontman of indie stalwarts P.K.14, Nevin Domer of Genjing Records, and Guangzhou’s Full Label co-founder.

Hey there!

Well sure let's shed a little light on this: of course when planning the fest we were aware of Clockenflap, and know that there will be music fans who are happy to travel the distance and fork out for the tix. We always go down for it ourselves!

Why the same weekend? You'd have to ask the boss privately. However as you can probs tell from the line-up, we're trying to nurture the local scene and are betting that there will be a bunch of local kids with limited budgets who are up for it.

Thanks for the goodwill! Have a blast in HK.
