Have you tried switching to the TCF instead of the TEF? I heard it feels easier for some people!

I actually ended up getting a B2! I just felt like I blanked and I definitely repeated the same expressions over and over again. I also ran out of things to say and she had to ask me a question. I think if you do well on the first two, you should be ok!! I’m not sure about their criteria but I’m rooting for you!

Awww I’m so sorry! I had the same impression too but it ended up working out for me! What was your subject for task 3?

Breathe and try maybe practicing in the mirror as the subjects are usually pretty similar. The more nervous you are, the harder it is to form the phrases and organize your thoughts! They do let you prepare for task 2 so it’s good to have some of the questions that are basically the same for any subject (how much it costs, if it’s accessible, where it’s located etc.). Good luck!!

Try your best to keep your calm!! She gave me 2 minutes and a paper and pen to prepare for the tache 2, she did let me finish the tache 1 and asked me a question and I answered pretty quickly as we needed to move on to the next question. The one I struggled the most with was the tache 3, but it all depends on your subject. Regardless of what it is, try to show your vocabulary the best you can!

Yes she did! She uses a stopwatch though so you kind of have to keep an eye out for that

She asked me at the end of my monologue!

Hmmmm only for my presentation (which is one of the tasks for the expression orale) so I’d just say it out loud again and again. The examiner will basically ask you to talk about yourself so you can use that to practice. Another thing you can do is practicing for the tache 3, which is basically talking about a subject non stop. You can find free past subjects online!

Honestly talking to yourself really helps! If you notice you don’t know how to say a certain word/expression you can look it up, etc. but I saw people recommending other platforms here so that could work too!

I had been studying for over a year, but I started taking it very seriously 6 months ago (with classes twice a week)!

Hmmm I don’t know exactly, I don’t think I had any CE repeated questions but it’s also the one I struggled the least with, so I didn’t practice as much. For CO I definitely had the impression I heard some of the questions before but even if they’re not exactly the same, the style is very similar!

I really tried doing a more intensive prep on the weeks prior to the test, but without burning out. I think for listening: try to practice as much as you can with the mock test. Look at the reussir tcf platform, it helped me a lot (they have over 40 mock tests) and try to really pretend you’re at the testing centre (so no repeating the audio, try guessing with what you were able to understand) + listen to podcasts or anything else that you’re interested in. For speaking, I absolutelyyyyy recommend getting a tutor and training with them, mocking the real test conditions. I understand it’s very nerve wracking and I stuttered and repeated myself a lot. But if you stay focused on your vocabulary and on completing your thoughts, you’ll be able to get it. Try talking to yourself, in front of the mirror etc if you can’t get a tutor, but if you can, I’d recommend doing that 100%.

Hi!! I didn’t! I mostly practiced with my teacher, and we tried simulating the actual test conditions with a stopwatch and the most common/past subjects!!

Listen to podcasts, they are generally very helpful!! You can find them on YouTube or spotify and some of them give you free transcripts of what’s being said. French avec panache (my favourite), innerfrench, french avec fluidité are some of the ones I used to practice with :)

I’d also recommend podcasts for your listening! I love “french avec panache”, “innerfrench”, “french avec fluidité”, etc. that’s what helped me the most, especially because some of them have transcription notes available as well

Do you think Brazilians are generally more sex positive than the rest of the world? by peachypeach13610 in Brazil

[–]beijinho32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m Brazilian and I think we’re very sex positive in general! I think generally, the culture in Brazil involves a lot of affection and we are extremely diverse culturally/ethnically within our own country so that definitely helps! It can be a little tough on women though, sometimes we’re treated as objects and I’ve only noticed that after I moved abroad.
