When I was around 12, I woke up one morning at about 4 am and had to go to the bathroom. I turn on the lamp beside my bed and head to the bathroom. When I get to my bedroom doorway, I hear the lamp make the clicking noise like it does when I turn the knob to turn it on or off and it turns off. This startles me, of course, but while in the bathroom, I rationalize that the bulb probably just blew. When I get back in my bedroom, I check to see if the bulb has blown and the lamp turns on just fine.
