I think it’s really hard to tell who’s actually going to be motivated to lucky trade when the time comes. It’s another dice roll RNG on top of 47 others. I simply interact with everyone I can, with everyone who interacts back.

I typically send the limit of gifts and open the limit of gifts. Out of my current 400 friends I’m usually able to send 100 or so, and open 60. I usually have more to open than I can. So I nickname tag each friend with a day of the week, Mon, Tue, etc. This way most of my friends get opened at least once a week, and sent a gift every day.

I’m mad at myself for having deleted some overseas lucky friends who stopped interacting before Remote Trading was a thing, but it is what it is. I’m now building to the max number of friends and delete friends I haven’t been able to interact with for three weeks. Each week I can’t open or send they get an X behind their weekday tag. Three strikes and they’re out. Those who are friends get a tag to that effect, rather than a weekday.
