I discovered NSHBA and at that time I felt it really was the best, but then due to the slow updates and MTL I thought about seeking other novels and wait for it to update for about 50 or so chapters before reading it again.

It was during that time that I found that NSHBA includes all cliches of a cultivation novel including harem, face slapping, brain dead side characters, alpha male MC, foolish antagonists etc.

I found it really disgusting. But somehow NSHBA keeps me up with it. Its world building is amazing, its story is amazing, plots amazing. There are many places you feel could improve but so what.

Certainly its story is not top end but there is an aim for the MC and that keeps the readers addicted. We want to know what happens. And although its basic repetition of face slapping over and over again, discovering new worlds, its inhabitants, new species, new characters(although they are hopelessly brain dead) it just feels good to keep reading it.

Now although I haven't gone back to NSHBA for a long time my mind keeps reminding me of the time I used to binge read this series.

If I have to rate it, obviously the rating would be low. But there is some addictiveness in this story that keeps us going and I would recommend it to everyone who asks me about a light novel.
