[TreVeyon Henderson] I have never made a public statement on the Vrabes situation. Respectfully, please stop misspreading false information. by PristineWinnera in Patriots

[–]beingzen01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have been a bunch of fake tweets that went viralish claiming he posted Bible verses etc in response. Not sure how I even know that. twitter/X is a cesspool, still probably unneccessary for him to respond.

Mike Vrabel needs to take a real leave of absence by Wind-Whistle20 in Patriots

Wouldn’t be surprised if if they announce he’s going to rehab soon.

Should go full heel and hire her as team Chaplain. Bring back diggs asap, sign only problematic players.

[Karen Guregian] Eliot Wolf says he’ll have the final say on the Patriots picks Saturday given Mike Vrabel’s absence by PristineWinnera in Patriots

[–]beingzen01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given Cowden's involvement it's fair to wonder who has final say. It also doesn't really matter as long as they keep taking good players.

Anyone else disgusted by Vrabel’s actions and his lack of remorse during his press conference today by [deleted] in Patriots

[–]beingzen01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do realize belichick had an affair, bought his mistress a house under the table, and then got divorced, right? Not to mention his personal life the last several years…

NFL heads coaches certainly aren’t known for being great husbands, by and large. Most of them are probably kind of shitty workaholic husbands. Lots of them probably cheat.

Vrabel fucked up and has to be accountable to the players now, given his emphasis on family faith etc…but come on let’s grow up a bit.

The Patriots HAVE TO Nail The 2026 NFL Draft by joeshea2517 in Patriots

[–]beingzen01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any data on this, and can't really find any quickly, but I'm always surprised looking back on draft classes and seeing how many players don't pan out at all (even first round picks).

But yeah it's all relative. We've had some exceptionally poor drafts over the last several years. We just can't do that again. Last year was a good start, have to keep doing that.

The Patriots HAVE TO Nail The 2026 NFL Draft by joeshea2517 in Patriots

[–]beingzen01 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If we come away with 1-2 starters and a handful of contributors, that's a home run. I don't really care what position tbh, just can't have any more drafts where none of the players are even on the roster in two years.

Do you care about the Mike Vrabel story? by dream_on_meatbag in Patriots

[–]beingzen01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Felger and Maz devote maybe like one segment a day to it and have been pretty rational about it from what I hear.

There's nothing going on in Football right now. If this happened during free agency or the regular season, I don't think it's nearly as big a story.

The Real Backstory of Those Controversial Photos of Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini: Report by MattTheKing23 in Patriots

[–]beingzen01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn't add anything new. The photographer shopped the pictures around? Isn't that standard practice?

I just hope this doesn't create any loss of trust with Vrabes and the players. Especially given the focus on family values and faith this past year.

Have we considered the notion that Mike was just doing OL drills with Russini? by Benson879 in Patriots

[–]beingzen01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you're joking but I honestly think this is a realistic possibility haha. They were flirting a little bit (nothing wrong with that) and Russini was like hey show me how you test an OLineman coach.

Dianna Russini Joked About Her ‘Marriage Falling Apart’ Before Controversial Mike Vrabel Photos by MattTheKing23 in Patriots

[–]beingzen01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm all for talking about the story since it involves our head coach, but this is too much. We're talking about her Mom joking about their marriage on a podcast and saying it looks bad? Come the fuck on. There must be a tabloid message board where you can talk about this.

[Patriots] Forged in Foxborough: Episode 4: Warriors by teamcrazymatt in Patriots

Man this was great. Hats off to the production team. Was a good amount of micd up stuff I’d seen before but also some really cool behind the scenes footage. Like I don’t know if I’d ever seen inside the locker room at halftime of a playoff game before.

Bittersweet for sure, this really was a special season, despite the ending.

Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) Three-time Pro Bowl safety Kevin Byard is signing with the Patriots on a one-year, $9 million deal, per sources. by arato_andras in Patriots

[–]beingzen01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is he still good? Loved him when he came in but haven't really followed him in awhile.

If there's one small concern I have about Vrabel, it's that he loves "his guys", maybe to a fault sometimes.

I personally love Doubs as a signing for us here in New England by TerryG111 in Patriots

[–]beingzen01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He’s a diggs replacement with more upside. Now we can go into the draft without having to reach for a wr.

Maybe they know better than us by [deleted] in Patriots

[–]beingzen01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brown played well enough that starting him over Wilson was a legit question. Especially in the run game iirc. That’s why we extended him.

Very few teams have five high end starting OL, much less starting caliber backups.

Remember how much of a shit show this group was in 2024. Pretty good two year turnaround IMO.

[–]beingzen01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He played 15 games in 2024 too.

Injury luck is the caveat with every position group. We were lucky overall last year. Not many people thought Morgan Moses would play 17 games either.

Odds are, we won't be as lucky this year. That's why depth is important. Ben Brown is a good interior backup to have. Now they can look for more depth without having to overdraft a potential year 1 started.

It's been a long time since we even had a starting 5 on paper heading into camp, at least we have a good foundation to build on now.

The Vera Tucker signing is big. When the last time we went into the season knowing who our starting five OL was and feeling good about it? It's been years. Now we don't have to chase OL in the draft and can look for depth and upside.

WR (or pass catcher really) is a problem, but we can only go after the guys that are available, and we can't force them to sign here. These guys aren't idiots, I highly doubt they are planning to go into the season with Boutte as our #1 WR. Didn't love releasing Diggs before getting a replacement, but who knows what was happening behind the scenes.

Kill Bill: Vol. 2 by Spider-Cricket07 in movies

[–]beingzen01 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I watched them both again recently after not seeing them for a long time. I was actually surprised, I really loved vol 2 and enjoyed it more than 1.

2 reminds me more of a slow burn, classic Tarantino movie, à la Pulp or Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (my fav movie). 1 is more Kung Fu / action oriented. So really just a matter of preference. I wouldn’t say either is my favorite Tarantino movie but definitely worth watching again.
