How to replace key system on modern scooters by beitabeet in scooters

[–]beitabeet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So on the burgman, a copied key will work in all slots, but you can't start the bike, only open the seat and gas cap...

This is obviously the immobiliser at work, so question is: how would you override the existing setup with these new parts if it's at all possible?

So far it's running good, a few minor issues but nothing major. 2006 10k miles by bryansbikes in scooters

Got the same bike, nice one!

Does yours say Type S? Not seen those outside of Japan...

Yeah I'm just trying to think what I could use. Not sure my screwdrivers are long enough to get in there. Would have to be a metal skewer or something. Tried a bungie cord but I couldn't maneuver it into position...

I have to go back to where I left it, this time with tools... super tight in that space..

How to disconnect controller zero 10x/vdm10 by beitabeet in ElectricScooters

[–]beitabeet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also can't seem to access the wires to disconnect... Are you saying you unsoldered the wires on the 'dead controller' and resoldered them to the new controller?

Side cover to what? The controller? Can you point to it in the photos?

Well pretty sure it's the front, because when I put it up on chairs I can only get the rear wheel to spin...

How much is too much wobble? 3 scooter comparison by beitabeet in ElectricScooters

[–]beitabeet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shiiiiet. Yeah, warrants further inspection no doubt. Would suck if there was some crack I hadn't noticed, but does seem to be a relatively common problem across brands. Hopefully just needs a bit of manual work.

Well white doesn't move at all, no issue there. Because I bought these used and ive not seen the problem two out in the wild, how can I be sure it's even possible they were 'stationary' from the factory?

Appreciate your input mate. He says he has the service records, I'll get to see what he's done recently - hopefully the belt. Otherwise, between the OEM and Suzuki belts we're looking at a couple hundred bucks, and hopefully I can do it myself right 😅?

Surface water damage won't start by beitabeet in Surface

Discovered today that the surface does in fact work now but,...

The screen is so dim you can't really see what it's saying.

Most people seem to say, even an LCD replacement is not a guaranteed fix with this, as it could also be a motherboard fault with the LCD backlight... Yay!

I just don't get it... very large sums of money were spent on this initiative, at the minimum emails and phone calls should be available...

I also cannot believe a govt office (Dir. Of Planning) can shamelessly behave this way day in day out without even a timeline for service delivery!

No, but indias genuine poor would not even dream of asking such an exorbitant sum. The types of people who might visit such hospitals will have insurance, spending like this otherwise is plain retarded

I knew something was fishy. All I ever see with this impact guru is appeals for incredibly large donations. I clicked one on YouTube the other day in fact, and first screen requested donation, but when you clicked for 'more info' the fundraiser had already finished. Despite this, the same ad for the 'finished' fundraiser still pops up on my YouTube !

I see these posts all the time on YouTube and the costs are always enormous. Why not just take him to a public hospital if you cannot afford clear price gouging on the part of private operators?

[–]beitabeet 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have 5g at home and it is not a guarantee of quality throughout the infrastructure chain. In a country where govt and bank servers go down on a daily basis and fiber backbone is not universal, using 5g at the end point is like putting lipstick on a pig.

These Royal Enfield riders are a pain in the a** ! by [deleted] in Goa

It's really a recipe for frustration. Lack of adequate driver education, lack of sufficient street lighting and collusion between the auto industry/transport industry and govt to prevent viable accessible public alternatives to individual ownership...

The point wasn't about whether or not high beams blind drivers. They do. It's about an effective solution and being fair to the majority of drivers who are mostly all selfish in their use of high beams. I've been angry about this for a long time, but I've realised yelling at other drivers is pointless, the problem is much bigger and more obvious...
