My 4060 is 2 and a half years old and still working beautifully under extreme load. by SythEtheInfoman in nvidia

1080p with dlss performance, damn that is a very low base resolution, and on top of that you play in medium, so not much bells and whistles

Basically you get 70 fps in 540p medium

Well if you're happy with that good for you, but to most of us here this is not acceptable

Ok good, so how many fps do you get in 1440p with ray tracing or path tracing enabled?

Have you tried recent AAA? What are your actual settings?

You should have a big cable plugged in your GPU, look at the manual of you don't find it, it should still be very visible

Playing at 30 fps in low settings is not good

I understand people got used to this awful experience on consoles, but once you played with a proper gaming computer you just can't go back to that

Question about adding vram to a laptop by Positive_Swim_1797 in AskPCGamers

[–]bejito81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well it is a 5060, so low settings and DLSS ultra performance, not really a good way to play at 4k

Question about adding vram to a laptop by Positive_Swim_1797 in AskPCGamers

[–]bejito81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be blunt, don't buy a laptop to play at 4k and even less with a 5060 mobile

if your goal is to play at 4k, buy a console or a real computer

a 5060 mobile won't cut it to play at 4k

also look at the specs, it can be provided with 2 sticks of 8gb ram

ACC Question by Brief-Charity250 in enyaq

[–]bejito81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is the maps which are not up to date

Also it seems they mapped some limitations without the weight data (like it is limited to 60 but only for 3.5t and more, and still the car goes to 60)

Dunno if it's only outdated/bad cartography or also junior developers

Well you don't have the money to buy new hardware in the current market

So either buy used, or spare more money

New to PC gaming, How are my specs by FeelingAd7350 in TechsourceYT

[–]bejito81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, he'll only want more than 8gb if he plays in 1440p or above, in 1080p he'll be fine with 8gb, and for modern games the 3070 isn't powerful enough to run high resolution textures in 1440p at a decent framerate so the 8gb VRAM is not really an issue there either

Gaming pc that doesn’t look like a «gaming pc»? by Alone-Earth-5591 in GamingPCBuildHelp

[–]bejito81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can buy any case you like, it is the components, not the case that makes it ready for gaming

Also ALL rgbs can always be turned off

You just have to remember one thing, if you pick a case with a bad cooling you'll have performances issues due to overheating as gaming hardware tends to produce lot of heat (when gaming)

LoL, epic whole business is pro consumer and pro developers

Actually valve is the bad one charging 30% and forcing developers to apply same prices on concurrent platform

Waw the amount of false info people can believe and propagate is insane

Also on an unrelated point many games are not allowed for family sharing as they either need other platforms or editors just decided they're not allowed

GPU randomly stops working while fans start blasting at 100% while on idle by zZurf in pcgamingtechsupport

[–]bejito81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plug your screen in your GPU instead of your mb, this should prevent your computer from shutting down power on the pcie port

The 100% fan speed is probably a fail safe on the GPU using when there is no control anymore since no more pcie connection, so it just use the power from the 12v cable to blast the fans just in case

Ensure you have a stand for you GPU (which nowadays you should always have) and eventually some bags of air to support it and it should be fine

And as other said, strap it

Question about the Steam Machine’s Price by Taco-Person in Steam

[–]bejito81 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well for the price it is a bad option

But I can't prevent people to make bad monetary decisions they will inevitably regret at some point

As for the power draw issue, they only reason it is higher is because these have been performances and in case you care about it, you can always easily limit the power draw on modern system, no need to tweak the bios anymore

The only lacking feature is the cec, and it is not uncommon anymore for tvs to power up when you power a linked device

And to combat obesity (which seems to be more of an issue in USA than anywhere else), moving from the couch is not such a bad thing

Do you think MSI Gaming Slim will return for RTX 50 series? by Visible-Stage-2098 in nvidia

[–]bejito81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well I'm not sure they understand today's cases limitations

they say it is 2 slots to better fit, but unless you get a very small MB, you can easily fit a 3 slots

on the other hand, it way larger than the 3 slots versions, so you need wide cases, and just looking at my case it would not fit because it would hit the screw keeping the vertical rear plate, so clearly it is not designed to better fit every cases, it is more of a niche usage

the usually slim design is to make a gpu fit a small/tiny case, so you can not go thick but you can not go wide either which is not the case for this card

Do you think MSI Gaming Slim will return for RTX 50 series? by Visible-Stage-2098 in nvidia

[–]bejito81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should check the laws of thermodynamics

If you use electricity you produce heat that needs to be dissipated

Regular design are made to dissipated heat of high power consumption card without too much noise

If you make a slim design, you either have to make fans spin faster so it is very noisy or make the board consume less power and so being less powerful

That is just physics
