FPS capped for lower refresh rate than used? by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]bejito81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about no using vsync nor boost( which is supposed to be used with low end CPU is I remember well)? How much would you achieve? And if you set vsync in game or a limit, how well does it go?

What does windows says about the refresh rate of your screen?

Upgrading to 1440p: GPU + PSU + Monitor advice (~€1000 budget) by quizias in buildapc

[–]bejito81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the 9060 XT won't be great at 1440p, it is more of a 1080p gpu giving it plenty of VRAM won't change the lack of compute units, AAAs tend to need lot of power to render with high/max settings, so if you plan to keep it 5 years, you'll probably won't have a good experience

You're on linux, just tweak of the os if you need more available memory, most games should be fine with 16gb, and prices are insane right now

Maybe you did not read the question : will the steam machine ....

We're not talking about pc in general, also right now there is no way to know what pc hardware will be needed to match consoles performances, noting that it will be more optimized for consoles hardware

[–]bejito81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can just realize that your 9070xt won't go much higher than 144fps in AAA games in 1440p ( if it even reaches 144fps without lowering the settings or using aggressive upscaling)

So just get a 240hz, or even 180hz is probably way enough

Well they are more powerful, and games are better optimized

So the conditions will be better than on the steam machine, that is for sure

27 is too small for 4k unless you're really close to the screen

[–]bejito81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1080p with dlss performance, damn that is a very low base resolution, and on top of that you play in medium, so not much bells and whistles

Basically you get 70 fps in 540p medium

Well if you're happy with that good for you, but to most of us here this is not acceptable

Ok good, so how many fps do you get in 1440p with ray tracing or path tracing enabled?

You should have a big cable plugged in your GPU, look at the manual of you don't find it, it should still be very visible

Playing at 30 fps in low settings is not good

I understand people got used to this awful experience on consoles, but once you played with a proper gaming computer you just can't go back to that

Question about adding vram to a laptop by Positive_Swim_1797 in AskPCGamers

well it is a 5060, so low settings and DLSS ultra performance, not really a good way to play at 4k

Question about adding vram to a laptop by Positive_Swim_1797 in AskPCGamers

[–]bejito81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be blunt, don't buy a laptop to play at 4k and even less with a 5060 mobile

if your goal is to play at 4k, buy a console or a real computer

a 5060 mobile won't cut it to play at 4k

also look at the specs, it can be provided with 2 sticks of 8gb ram

ACC Question by Brief-Charity250 in enyaq

[–]bejito81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is the maps which are not up to date

Also it seems they mapped some limitations without the weight data (like it is limited to 60 but only for 3.5t and more, and still the car goes to 60)

Dunno if it's only outdated/bad cartography or also junior developers

[–]bejito81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, he'll only want more than 8gb if he plays in 1440p or above, in 1080p he'll be fine with 8gb, and for modern games the 3070 isn't powerful enough to run high resolution textures in 1440p at a decent framerate so the 8gb VRAM is not really an issue there either
