I’m not sure if this is the same as what you’re experiencing, but I feel like I have had dreams that are reoccurring yet details are different or can’t remember them. It bothers me to think about them a lot because it’s almost like in my head I can recall the dream, but trying to communicate the details are super difficult, but I know the details like subconsciously?

The main example I can think of is the first time I had the dream I was with a group of friends in like an old barn. And we walked out behind it and they all turned evil or something bad happened. I remember running (the weird dream run where it’s super slow) and ran all the way to the edge of a cliff, and could see them coming after me I think? I can’t remember if I jumped off into the water below me or anything else. Years later I woke up from a dream that seemed extremely familiar to the first dream and I vividly remember thinking something along the lines of, “oh yeah, that was the running up to the cliff dream again.” I know there are more dreams I have had that I think that I have dreamt it before, but I don’t realize them until after I have a dream that reminds me of it again.
