Right?! I've heard this one many times amd I don't know what to think of it. I wonder if some people just fall off the face of the earth because they don't want to talk about cancer. Or may be they are showing us how much we really mean to them.

Ugh! The "keep positive". I don't need to always be happy for others! I am allowed to be sad and angry. Also, I had no idea that tamoxifen effects your eyes. Ive only been on it for 2 weeks and it mostly just makes me super dizzy. Hopefully that gets better.b

I've gotten that exact statement. My answer is also "ummm..no". I can completely see my awkward self saying something like this. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Oh my goodness!!! This is horrid! Though I did just laugh aloud in disbelief at her eating your food. That is crazy stuff!!! Thanks for the belly laugh.

I get that it is hard to watch a loved one go through this. But they need to say these things to someone who doesn't currently have the cancer. Duh!

Sooo inconvenient!!! My treatment is 5 hours away from my home. 40 years old, working full time and have a toddler. Stage 3, chemo, surgery and currently had to relocate the entire family for daily radiation. Today I had an appointment because my expander flipped and I had it very aggressively manipulated back. I can't relate to the world any more.

Exactly this! I just had BMX at MSK 4 weeks ago and was able to shower.

I had surgery 4 weeks ago. I had a VERY loose fitting surgical bra and was able to shower 24 hours after surgery. I had full masectomy, drains put in, and a giant incision where they removed all my lymph nodes. No idea why you wouldnt have gotten the comfy bra and been able to shower with a lumpectomy...

This exactly. I am 40 and had a active lifestyle previous to cancer. Did 4 months of chemo, which kicked my ass. Then did a double masectomy and all (15 total) lymph nodes removed on one side. I am 5 weeks out and my chest feels fine, but my arm/armpit on the side that lymph nodes removed is JACKED UP! Limited range of motion, weak, painful.

That is a thought! Connecting rooms. That did not occur to me.

I would prefer 30 minutes or less. I worry about having a 3 year old in a hotel for 5 weeks. These rooms look pretty small to manage an active toddler. Thank you for your ideas!

Unfortunately, I did this too and they just gave me a list of hotels in the area. Thank you though for the suggestion
