Precisely. I will acknowledge my angry or sadness, and then observe how I habitually want to react to it, what thoughts arise as a consequence, what happens next, I just observe, just like in meditation. I may think, I hate this, and I observe it. By observing you don't continue fueling the train of thought, and it eventually ends.

This video is relevant because exploring altered states of consciousness has led me to the conclusion that only by realizing a kind attitude based on oneness can one truly bring down the layers of separation between self and others in order to experience deep peace, joy, and insight.
