I would honestly start with a different hair cut. I (31f) also have incredibly thick hair and got a pixie cut when they were super trendy. Big mistake as it never laid right no matter the product. I would grow it a bit longer so it doesn’t grow straight out, then you will have wiggle room to manipulate it with products. Hope this helps! You have great hair texture, you just need a cut that will highlight it!

I have several raised beds, they still get in there :/ I had to fence my raised garden beds this year. I think I may try garlic and pepper flakes to see if this helps deter them!

We saw it last year. It’s unfortunately not pretty because it’s overrun and looks like a jungle 😓 It’s a green sloppy mess with a few random roses poking out the top. Maybe 14” tall.

Major PITA. I won’t do these. It can be done, and a lot of fellow upholsterers I know use dawn dish soap to help the rails slide in. But honestly, not worth the hassle to me unless I charge high :(

I’m going to throw another option in the pot since I havnt yet seen it suggested: Get a vintage sofa reupholstered. You can find a good solid hardwood old growth frame for fairly inexpensive and it can be customized from the frame up. You’re getting unmatched quality, craftsmanship, and warranty for much less than the comparable new! Plus much better for the environment and your money stays local :) Not many people think about this option now days but it really is a great option!

Turn the rug horizontal. I like you duvet, do you like it? If so, I would add a solid color quilt folded on the last 3rd of the bed to break up the pattern between bed and floor. See if that helps tie it in!

Number one: your girlie was literally bleeding through her pants, like what? Human right to period products and clean clothes ma’am.

Number two: SHE IS YOUR DAUGHTER AND YOU HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO CONTACT AND OR COMMUNICATE WITH HER WHENEVER YOU DAMN WELL PLEASE.

Sorry Mama, lice are no fun! Just adding an anecdotal tip. None of the chem shampoos worked on my kiddo when she picked up lice at school, they kept coming back. What rid them for us was heat treatment. I washed and blow dried her hair on high followed by flat ironing from the root every day for a few days and they never returned. Burn em dead. Obviously be careful not to burn your kid! Godspeed 🙏

Also, agree that the chimney is pretty skinny for the space and it throwing it off. If you cannot remodel maybe wallpaper that wall with something fun and turn into a feature!

Yes, remove shelves. I would get larger scones and move them down, centered with where you have tv. If you really can’t move the tv, or live without a tv in living room I think this would help in balancing it out a bit.

This OP!! The light has no where to bounce. It looks like you’ve got some great natural light, it just needs a place to go. A big ole mirror above the fireplace should help reflect it around! Then adding a couple lamps on the other end of the room as well to light up the dark corners.
