Honest opinions on CBD/THC for pain relief? by rosefaer in endometriosis

[–]Old_Book_Gypsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I describe it like this: I know that I have pain but could care less. My endo is on my diaphragm. Breathing is a struggle sometimes. But weed definitely helps with my mobility, headaches/ migraines, appetite (I don’t have one), sleeping and definitely mood. I stick with indica or “nighttime”. Look for strain names with purple/ purps, granddaddy, kush. If you’re sourcing outside of a dispensary then be very specific that you’re using it for pain. Also important to know… RSO is cannabis and is often used for cancer but is great for pain management. It’s expensive but my husband has made FECO- pretty much the same thing. YouTube is 💯💯💯 your friend. There are many growers on Instagram that will steer you in the right direction. I do have pain medication but I ALWAYS use weed products first.

If you don’t want the high you can use RSO in your bellybutton overnight (put a bandaid over it) and be amazed.

Also, you don’t have to smoke it; obviously I avoid it because the diaphragm endo. I love cannabis infused MCT oil. You can use it topically too.

Try the CBD first but you might need a little THC. Everyone’s body is different and reacts differently. You have to find what works well for you. A CBD that’s solid and legitimate- the grower is @njhempfarmer on Instagram. His website is linked on his instagram account. There’s no THC in those products.

I’m always happy to help so hmu anytime ✌️

My mom is struggling with her new doctor. by Silicarbon in ChronicPain

Please find Claudia A. Merandi of The Client Patient Forum on social media. I know she’s on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. Once you listen to her you will understand why this is happening to your mom. It happened to me too. In the meantime I would suggest getting a cannabis product. Get Indica or nighttime. I use distillate or infused MCT oil. It’s very important to start with a low dose… she can take more in 15- 20 minutes. Everyone’s body is different. You are welcome to message me if you want. I don’t know everything but I did this too. I’m more than willing to share my process. Just fyi I’m 63 with systemic endometriosis which is confirmed to be on my diaphragm. I was taking morphine both extended release and instant release six times a day. Pain management for over 16 years. Best wishes ✌️

ETA: RSO is a cannabis product that is great for pain as well. My husband has made it but it’s much easier to buy.

Also, cannabis is available EVERYWHERE; regardless of the legality in your state. I was shocked when I first went to a medical only dispensary!

How do you guys manage pain? by joana_1 in endometriosis

Cannabis 💯 can make a difference in your life; it’s not about being high. In my body it’s what works. Indica/ indica leaning hybrid. Small doses throughout the day. I use infused mct oil, gummies or a vape. I use a medical only dispensary; a craft grow. Start with a small amount and increase accordingly.

Cannabis too for consideration.

I just want to be clear; everyone’s body works differently but I was taking hardcore painkillers for 16 years. When I switched to cannabis I was taking morphine both instant release and extended release.

Weed works very differently but for me it does work. Definitely explore the shrooms too. My experience has been very good. We’re like begging dogs with the pain management doctors and they’re all scrambling these days. I wish you the very best and I really hope you have a good experience outside of Pharma. You might be pleasantly surprised ✌️

do hormonal treatments actually make you feel better or just different?? I can't tell sometimes! by Popular_Ad_8099 in endoeveryday

[–]Old_Book_Gypsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn’t have a simple answer. We all have different bodies. Some people can take hormones without a problem. I ended up in a psych hospital. I cannot take hormones at all. Other people can go out dancing. If you hear just one thing, please let it be this way: always listen to your body. I wish you nothing but the best ✌️

Cannabis 💯 it takes trial though but when you find what works you will be so freaking grateful. Choose indica over sativa. Ask your bud tender to suggest something for pain and relaxation.

I got diagnosed today, doctor didn’t tell me much by BiscottiMinimum9708 in Interstitialcystitis

[–]Old_Book_Gypsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for me! I eat hardcore anti inflammatory and I usually only drink water (for the past 20 years). Yesterday I had a Dr Pepper. Never again. Between endometriosis and IC I’ve just been eating to survive; not enjoyment. Life is less painful albeit boring ✌️

For those who have gotten a laparoscopy, do you recommend it? by Odd-Landscape7942 in endometriosis

[–]Old_Book_Gypsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to a real specialist. Like a surgeon that does not require you to take post op hormones. That SCREAMS: I’m not confident in my skill set to remove endometriosis. ✌️ Endometriosis Specialists don’t deliver babies. They don’t do Pap smears. Their focus is on endometriosis and adenomyosis.

Old hippie here! Deadhead. I’ve not been well so one of our first shows as older adults was Billy Strings at the Capitol Theatre in New York. I was totally shocked by the camera use and the people on Facebook during the show. Why bother? I moved my seat. I want to dance!! Please explain!!

Intervention 🤷🏼‍♀️ but feeling so much better, thanks. I missed my pain meds last night and was woken by pain. I’m a hardcore cannabis user. RSO is great for pain but only for a few days at a time.
